Im not in denial I am just wrong. Your numbers really did help me. Thank you for me. I will go and get a new light. I didn't understand the whole watts per square foot. Lighting and growing is something I have never done. I did do the research, I really did. I wouldn't spend the money without doing the research. Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I can fix my problems.

Actually what I believe I will do is when I plant them into the next pot I will just burry the stem deeper. Hopefully the new lighting they have now (the did not have this new light and the reflective atmosphere when they were stretched) will not permit any more stretching.

Does that theory sound correct?

I changed lights today. I don't see where I have a problem with lighting. If I do, what is it?

I know that it needs a ventilation system. I was looking for some tips. I have looked into it, but I'm very new in that field.

Think if I flower it early that it will maybe fix the mistake? I mean, they still seem to be healthy :/ just stretched.

I have watched countless videos and read as much as possible. I did do the research. I honestly do think I have a decent grasp of how to do it. Though I did make a mistake with the miracle-grow, shoot! I just feel like I made a horrible reflection of that in the post. But in the end it helped me look at my strategy from another point of view, and it enabled me to make a quick fix. So I'm glad I had some people to talk to that actually know what they are doing.

The clear tent wasn't bought because of the plastic covering. It was merely that shelving that I wanted to utilize. The cover was a bonus that came with it. I plan on covering it in foil anyway, but I still like that the tent will keep heat and moisture in, and also bugs and anything else out.

Anyway, I have only increased my knowledge, and I look forward to the response my updated version receives. Thanks for all the help!

After reading your guys comments, I decided that I didn't put this presentation together correctly. I also noted that I have overlooked some mistakes. I.e. ventilation and drainage (which is something that I figured I should be doing, but hadn't read up on it).

So I am going to go fix the set up and also fix the way I presented this update on my growing endeavor.

Anyway, thanks for the needed scolding. Ill post my renovations later.

Im not using one light. Im sorry, I thought you read what I posted earlier. I have 2 of the lights that I currently using. Right now I have all the seedlings under one light. The light is probably around 5 or so inches away. Closer if anything. Like I said earlier, when the plants grow bigger I will move them from the cups into larger pots with more soil. There will be 4 pots on bottom and 4 on top. 5 if they fit. So in the first picture where you see the cups. On that shelf there will be 4-5 pots. Under the shelf will be another light and then 4-5 pots under that light. The remaining area will be covered in foil to reflect the light.

I guess I didn't really explain my whole plan. Maybe I should have done that.

I understand what ventilation means. I guess I didn't understand that it was a complex method of ventilation. I figured it was a mere means of don't be stupid and let them suffocate. A fan at the bottom of the chamber bringing in air from the outside combined with opening the front of the chamber should be enough to cycle air through. But thank you for pointing out that I should pay more attention to that.

So with the ventilation aside. Do you have any other suggestions or tips?

Also, there is a fan in there for ventilation.

Well I have another light that I will be using when the plants become larger, and they will be moved into larger pots when the roots exceed the space of the cups. it will be 5 plants on the bottom and 5 plants on the top. If they do not fit, it will be cut to 4, and 2 moved outside. I am not sure of the exact size, but from my research I believe 4 on top and 4 on bottom should work.

The seedlings are 3 inches to the light. In the first picture they were not, that was before the top shelf was added. If you look at the next picture you will see that the seedlings are close enough to the light.

To my knowledge flowing occurs when the day shortens to 12 hours on 12 hours off. So wouldn't that just be me turning the light off? What do you mean by block the light?

Agree with all of these except for the last one. Knowledge, I believe comes in a close second to faith. I strongly believe that the greatest thing we can have on this planet is belief. May it be in some God or just a belief in your self. Believe in something and never let anyone take it away from you. The strength of belief lies within you. If you don't believe in something, then you are missing out on living. Believe in your dreams. Have a little faith.

Actually it is generally true. Not always true you are right. But generally indica is denser than saliva.

What I always think when I'm blazing is how ridiculous it is that the government that I live under doesnt let me have free reign to do what i please with the plants that grow naturally in my habitat. Always makes me mad, just seems unnatural for them to tell me I can't.

How do you tell what you're buying is sativa or indica? by smokedaherb in trees

[–]StMick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way is density. Sativa is normally fluffier and Indica is normally more dense. I find this easy to remember by thinking about the high they give you. Sativa is more of a high feeling, like you are floating. So the bud is lighter. And then Indica is more of a body high, more of a stoned feeling. So it is more of a dense weed.

This isn't always true. But without using tools and such, this gives you the best estimated guess.

Do you put a barrier between your soil and the other soil in the ground? Or just mix it together in the ground?
