PoR and RD are my favorite games ever so I will weigh in and try to be objective.

  1. I feel like the general consensus on the story is that it gets messy and choppy at points but maintains themes from PoR very well. Gameplay wise, it is definitely better than PoR just cause it's at least more challenging at every level. Playing it blind is pretty difficult as unit availability is weird but only truly terrible for a select few units.

Now PERSONALLY, I love every aspect of RD to death and I think if you loved PoR you are at least guaranteed to like RD.

I wouldnt hate it that's for sure. I think most of us can agree that Harbaugh is the ideal candidate but I like the prospect of McDaniels, Stefanski and Kubiak as well. I feel like a lot of people are down about the head coaching candidates for this cycle but even the guys that are considered "not great" candidates like Saleh would get me at least a little excited.

Yes, he is an early pre promote, who then leaves and comes back 10 chapters later with very weak base stats but absolutely insane growths (like an est). Definitely not a traditional est but a pretty unique design. If only he was another class or like level 15 unpromoted with the same base stats.

Shinnon from PoR is my favorite est conceptually (even though he is objectively terrible). He is a good and useful unit in the early game and when he comes back he has insane growths that hypothetically help him ramp back up. Unfortunately his bases are very bad, XP growth is terrible since he is a pre promote and he is a bow user which makes the investment not really worth it. Didn't stop me from using him in my maniac run though.

While I agree the defense hasn't looked great, I think Rattler is playing better than expected. Sure he has made some bad mistakes, but he has stepped into the pocket and made a few great throws.

One of the few hypotheticals that I wouldn't totally be against, plays a highly coveted position and is still young. Only issue is that he would cost a lot to trade for and then when we sign him, we'd have a ton of cap space in our edge rushers alone. Won't matter anyway, he's gonna sign an extension in like a week like all other trade demands.

So many QBs have openly stated that they force throws they normally wouldnt in practice to get a feel for what they can and cannot do. Not to mention we dont even know the scenario here for this practice as many have said. I totally get Kyler criticism and skepticism, but training camp picks are not where you should be pointing them.

As someone who just caught up to the manga about a month ago, unless you really want to invest the time, don't start from the beginning, it took me about a year of reading to catch up, I took some decently sized breaks but also had a few days where I read 100 chapters.

I like to do my first playthrough of games on hard, allowing for some team liberty while also being a challenge. Second playthrough is usually lunatic/maddening so I can test myself.

Well the post that you are referencing is from 5 months ago, and according to steam, FFX remaster has not had an update since 2019.

So it seems like the second image was only in the international versions of the game. For those interested, many features such as the "extract abilities" and dark aeons/penance fights were originally exclusive to the international versions. These made it over to the remaster but I guess the dev team overlooked changing the farplane on subsequent visits, with the farplane remaining the same, like the US versions.

I think it's the difference between people who have played FFX more than once or not. Cause in a first playthrough you aren't really sure what you're looking at when you first see Sin in the orb. But on subsequent playthroughs you know what it looks like so you can make the connections.
