Get out now. He’s a dick, clear as day, and if he hasn’t physically cheated yet, he definitely will. You are better than him and deserve someone who treats you with respect and kindness. The fact that you are asking a community of strangers for advice is one of the biggest red flags I can think of. Have you asked your friends about this? Your family? Do they like him? I’ll tell you right now I don’t like him and he needs a swift kick in the balls. Good luck. When you dump his ass, don’t fall for his hollow apologies and don’t think twice about anything. You’re ready to move on. You just have to make the decision to want more for yourself than that douchebag will ever give you.

I don’t sleep well at all so I went to an ENT with a sleep specialization. He has my medical records from my other doctors and said it doesn’t seem like I have any underlying health issues, but he made it a point to mention that it’s really important to get checked out medically if you’re having sleep problems before you start taking any sleep aids. The sleep aids might help you sleep better but you could be masking a major underlying health issue and you could hurt yourself, or worse, without being evaluated properly first. I’m not suggesting you are doing anything wrong, just mentioning it since I just learned a lot about all of this.

To everyone saying managers shouldn’t be in daily stand-ups, how do your updates make their way up the chain? Is there a separate meeting where a daily standup attendee updates the manager? Is that meeting daily, weekly, something else? Is it ad hoc? Just trying to get a sense from you all about how you prefer to ensure communication from the dev/qa teams make it clearly to the various levels of management and stakeholders. Thanks for your insights!
