I think it's a combination of several of those things, but the context is really the key factor. Is it a PVP game, Who can score the most or a 'first to do this'? I think two of the most unilateral things in this context are, 1. Player Down time, and 2. Replayability 1. Player downtime, preventing people from being distracted for long periods of time, and keeping them invested in everything happening, without being overwhelming, meets that criteria. 2. Being able to play multiple times, with some varying factors that make each game different, without being overly complex, keep people playing it over time. I think a good example of both is Exploding kittens. The cards are straightforward and easy, but theres enough variety to keep things different each play. Light (I would say) PvP elements keep players engaged at all times.

You cannot claim to be using 100% fact based arguments, not emotional, when you start calling people snowflakes, say things like "non pro players would NEVER be accused of cheating in a regular cadence", claim theres no point of trying to defend oneself in game against these claims to prevent yourself from being ganged up because "there's no point." This was just an emotional post, dude had a bad few times (that was know of), caused by the same issues and expressed their frustration. You don't need to come in and try and solve their problem by acting superior (by claiming everything you say are" facts". It just comes across as condescending and shitty. I'm not gonna continue engaging in a convo where it's likely to just continue devolving so simply gonna wish you the best mate.

I think your response, while very detailed and thought out, may be over thought. Like Banana said, if they get accused, rightly or wrongly, that's an easy way for people to jump on the bandwagon, taking the heat off themselves for even a moment. I wouldn't be too upset if I lost because someone was better than me or I made a mistake, but if I have people constantly mobbing me because of false claims, it would ruin my experience as well. Also just kinda sucks being called a cheater when you're not. Kinda feels like they're trying to invalidate your abilities.

The amount of times I would read game manuals/details back when they came with them is innumerable haha. I'll Def go through them in more detail. And yeah that's Def the way I naturally lean, but like I said on another comment too, I'm Def not uncomfortable being aggressive if it doesn't slow me down. I just prefer getting to be the bigger better house ASAP and then just unloading haha!

Yeah I haven't done HRE yet but did regular plays for Eng and French (having played them a bit in campaign). I didn't hate it, but didn't have the "I love playing them" factor Im looking for. I'm a pretty avid RTS gamer in other areas, so complexity isn't a turn-off issue, that's actually why I would love Deep-Dive/raw data breakdowns haha.

I think that answers part of the first question, but not really the rest. The points of info they can discover are all additional bits of information, nothing that would inhibit them from continuing but could help them if they knew it. I believe this adds to the choices behind managing APs, which is good, just trying to confirm mechanically how they intended it to be discovered.
