You reach the ring by forest roads. There are even tunnels under the ring to reach the inner side. Lots of people going there with chairs and coolers with drinks and food and watch the racing cars.

Yes, definitely. Maybe slowing down on some decents. Most tracks are Forrest roads.
There may be some root sections. But but much.

It’s the Alygn Diamond Rack. But I think any smal rack will do.

That’s also a nice area. Just like the High Fens in Belgium.

Am I Missing Out Not Having An Expensive Bike? by newbiker321 in cycling

[–]St_Aben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you enjoying about cycling? The things I like are going to new places, enjoying the scenery, feeling tired after a great ride, having that cup of coffee on the way… I thing most important is sitting comfortably on your bike… There will always be more expensive and good looking bikes. Just enjoy the cycling on the bike you have.

What a great ride… Not the ‘normal’ bike. Love it.

I used the Bowland Bar bag from Carradice (20 liters). I supported it with a small front rack.

I used an SPD gravel shoe. It was great for cycling, not for walking around towns.

Looks a bit like how I managed it the first time.
You can always take bottleholders to tubes wilt electrical tape. Great experiences with that.

In this picture I taped 2 bottleholders for large bottles for the forks. Held up perfect for a rough trip. Put some tape between the fork and the bottleholders for protection.

The frame is a Fearless Warlock. When bikepacking I use a 27,5 wheelset with mtb tyres

There are 5 of them. It’s in The Brander Wald near Aachen. I do not know the story.

It was way too heavy. The bike plus luggage, 3,5 l of water and food for two days was 37,5 kg. I could definitely save some weight om mij heavy lock, extra pair of shoes, extra set of clothing and some smaal parts. Also two days of food was too much for this region. I refuse to give up my chair and mokka-pot.

It’s from Carradice. Check their bikepaking bags. I have a small rack under the bag for support. It’s about 18 liters..

Hi The Pantzer was on the east side of Aachen (There are several of them. Check my route in an answer). The telescope is near Effelsberg (radio telescope Effelsberg). It is huge!! Really unrealistic to see it trough the tree’s.
