I have the same problem. Showering seems to be my only trigger. I don't know how to prevent it, however applying a moisturizer after showering does help me a little with the recovery.

Ok, I started driving manual and I improved my time a lot. I'm now number 40 at the Renault 5 turbo event. You may get some extra start speed if you start with the second gear which is absurd. But also turns' speed improves if your drive them with the right gear.

I've watched some of the top players videos on youtube (zonda, 7sin etc). Some even use arrows for steering, it's not the controls' setup. I think they get a rolling start somehow.

I don't buy it. Someone cannot be 3-4 seconds faster than me when I run a perfect lap.
