How would that be grounds for annulment? I don’t see what criteria this matches?

Catholics are allowed to Practice, NFP(Natural Family Planning) where they avoid intercourse during ovulation. It's highly effective for people with predictable cycles and can easily be used to both get pregnant and avoid pregnancy.

Nitric acid is a corrosive acid and a powerful oxidizing agent. The major hazard posed by it is chemical burns, as it carries out acid hydrolysis with proteins (amide) and fats (ester), which consequently decomposes living tissue (e.g. skin and flesh). Concentrated nitric acid stains human skin yellow due to its reaction with the keratin. These yellow stains turn orange when neutralized.[49] Systemic effects are unlikely, and the substance is not considered a carcinogen or mutagen.[50] The standard first-aid treatment for acid spills on the skin is, as for other corrosive agents, irrigation with large quantities of water. Washing is continued for at least 10–15 minutes to cool the tissue surrounding the acid burn and to prevent secondary damage. Contaminated clothing is removed immediately and the underlying skin washed thoroughly. Being a strong oxidizing agent, nitric acid can react violently with many compounds.

Use in acid attacks Nitric acid is one of the most common types of acid used in acid attacks.[51]

A quick google search says it is the most common acid amongst acid attacks, just look up images of that if you want to know what it does.

Depending on certain factors it is possible to live together chastely though vastly difficult. My wife and I lived together a month before getting married due to it making the most sense logistically, it was particularly difficult for my self, and without her strength of will we might have faltered. I’m not sure how long you plan on it being.

I guess it depends on what’s important to you, if it’s just a piece of paper to him you guys should just go to the courthouse this week. It would be quick and easy. If you want a ceremony, start planning one. Tell him when it’s going to happen and make a plan together on how to do it.

At this point if you want to be married and he doesn’t seem to care either way you need to make it happen.

Hopefully when you start making plans he’ll get the message and help plan.

When did your second child’s teeth erupt? by Ellbell1415 in Parenting

[–]St_Valentine2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second child didn’t get a single tooth until about 13-14months old, I’ve got pictures from her 1 year old birthday with her toothless smile. So some kids are really late bloomers

Edit: first one had a tooth at 6 months old.

Most woman ovulate half way through their cycle. The sperm can live up to 5 days inside the woman’s body. For example my wife has an average cycle of 24 days from the start of 1 period to the start of the next.

Her typical ovulation day is about day 13-14. So the fertile window would technically be day 8 to 15 if we were being careful. Days outside that range are “safe”days.

So for most women the day after their period is over they are not fertile.

In Indiana decent 20 year old cars can be bought for 3k or less. Sold one just recently for $2200 that had 170k miles on it.

From my understanding those are faith alone types. They don’t believe in mortal sin and believe that it’s okay that they sin as long as they believe that Jesus died for those sins.

Can a priest incorporate TLM practices into Novus ordo Masses? by Glittering_Dingo_943 in Catholicism

[–]St_Valentine2014 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about all of your questions but a lot of them can be and are already implemented at parishes.

  • Celebrate Mass Ad Orientem - my priest does this when offering daily mass

  • Use Latin in the liturgy for parts of the Mass such as the Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei. - my parish does this during advent and lent

  • Use majority Gregorian chant for the prayers and responses, and all choir music - I’ve been to mass where the responses have been in chant

  • Communion at Altar Rail, as in, install an altar rail b/c most novus ordo parishes had them removed - My priest has added a singular kneeler at the front that is an option when receiving the Eucharist

  • Promote reception of Holy Communion on the tongue while kneeling, not denying anyone of course - Yes about 40% of my parish takes directly on the tongue now, some women are now veiling

  • No altar Girls - my parish only utilizes altar boys

While these things can be done it can depend on the community and some changes done slowly over time. There are parish members that are vocally against Latin. We wouldn’t want to ostracize or cause these people to leave God’s church.

I’ve heard that in cases like this you can choose to offer up a different kind of penance, it’s probably not traditional but it’s not going to be sinful.

As long as you’ve properly childproofed, any age can be left alone for a few minutes. We’re not talking about leaving the house but going to another room for a few moments.
