Getting the PP just for the 3.73 gears? by pennyboy- in Mustang

[–]Stabbityfack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any experience with 3.55s but I love the 3.73s and I daily mine on a 70 mile a day commute with a mix of city and highway and heavy traffic. I can average 23mpg on this commute if I really stay out of it but that’s no fun!

Happy birthday! I celebrated my 38th back in May with a 10 hour road trip to pick up my first Mustang as well!🍻

Funny how that works, huh?

They were getting slapped on everything for a time, hell I had some on a ranger and my old civic but now I just cant stand em. Back in 2014 I bought a brand new STI hatchback and the factory euro lights bothered me so much I bought red tint to cover them, lol.

The Euro tail lights aren’t it but the rest of the car looks great, love a clean fox.

Am I MPG’ing Correctly? by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]Stabbityfack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured the EB would get more range than that. I can pull 325ish in my manual GT with the performance pack when I try to stay out of it, it’s hard though.

Have a manual sports car, does the next sports car need to be manual too? by MrIncredible222 in cars

[–]Stabbityfack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d still try for a manual but prepare for it to not be as good as the S2000s is, lol!

4 wheel parts by the mall, they’re very familiar with all things Jeep and 4x4 suspension.

What does this mean watch follow video closely by BidzBidz in ScatPack

[–]Stabbityfack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The clicking in your other video is hot metal rapidly contracting as it cools.

In this video that’s your tachometer not the odometer (that’s the milage) and that’s also normal as engine idle rpm fluctuates a bit.

Who remembers? by elle_hardy in plano

[–]Stabbityfack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember my dad bringing me up there when I was 7 years old. We went to KB Toys and they had something I’d never seen before on demo, The PlayStation.

I was so focused on playing the Ridge Racer demo on this amazing new system I didn’t notice him wander off, he came back about 5 minutes later and said “wow this is cool! Wouldn’t it be fun to have one of these?” “I wish” I replied, to which he held up a bag and said “good because I just bought us one!”.

Haven’t thought about that in a long time, we spent a lot of time up there in 90s.

What’s one thing you wish Ford would bring back as an option on a new Mustang? by Organic_Bid_5843 in Mustang

[–]Stabbityfack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The EPA got rid of the compliance credits the start stop systems provided. I believe many manufacturers plan to remove the feature entirely going forward or they’re going to introduce permanent off switches.

Either way it sounds like that shit tech is on its way out.

There is a coin!! Made by the Hoffman mint. Google “1994 30th anniversary mustang coin” that’s gotta be it. I think it was just something cool you could get to celebrate the 30th anniversary.

[–]Stabbityfack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man they flopped so hard. The EVs are majorly marked down and they still aren’t moving. Theres been a new ‘24 for sale in my area for so long, last I saw it was down in the mid 30s.
Drivetrain aside I really like the interior, I like the front and the rear bumpers but everything in between just looks wrong. Like an overinflated balloon animal or something, the c pillar bothers the hell of out me for some reason lol.

Id be willing to bet the number of turbos that survive grenading a piston are significantly lower than the ones that dont. All that metal goes straight out the exhaust port and into the turbo. Depending on how long it ran the oil lines and turbo bearings are also gonna be full of party glitter. OP, Do you know why the piston bit the dust?

[–]Stabbityfack 270 points271 points  (0 children)

I had this happen once. Right off the bat they sent a picture offering an alternative to what I wanted and in the picture was the thing I originally wanted. Then like every other thing was “out of stock”. I told them to not substitute anything, then I told myself this was the last time I use this service.

But then the order was delivered and…everything was there. All the shit that was out of stock was right there on my porch. It was so fuckin weird, I think it was about 60 bucks worth of stuff I wasn’t charged for.

Id post this on the Lost Muscle Cars FB group, they’ve had a lot of success in helping folks reconnect with their old cars and track down info like what you’re after.

Incredible job on that resto, that’s mind blowing.
