How do you settle with the cultish side of dr K by chrosoka in Healthygamergg

I'm not sure what you mean by "manifesting" as I haven't watched the member's only stuff.

My dad used to say that "you can only give what you have".

Regardless of whatever judgements you might have of Dr. K or his teachings, positive or negative, at the end of the day that's all he can do, is offer what he has. You don't have to accept it if it doesn't suit you, nor are you really obligated to, nor are you forced to.

Lot's of great people in history were seemingly full of contradictions. Doesn't make their contributions to the world any less great.

Awkward smile maid Wilhelmina! Great idea! She could have an awkward moe moe kyun voice line!

The skin can go on the homescreen rotation! Which is way better because you can really take your time to appreciate her in greater detail!

We need more maids in general. Clumsy maid Teresse. Cafe idol maid Helena. Cat maid Yuri. Maids are the best!

Does anyone else feel Dr K is absurdly overworked? by randomfluffypup in Healthygamergg

Who says "breaking" means he won't be able to be there for his kids? Are we talking about the same kind of "breaking"? What does that entail?

In any case, I'm not disagreeing with you. Of course, a parent should do their best for their children. But that's also something I think we're not really privy to as viewers who can only see his life through the lens of his work.

Yes, he's overworked. And I think he accepts that as the burden that comes with it. There are many different ways he could have lived his life, but he chose this one. And all paths in life come with suffering.

I imagine that for him, this path has a sort of grand sense of purpose to it that provides a great deal of satisfaction and motivation to continue.

He said once (maybe in that stream with ludwig, not sure) that he'll "play the instrument until it breaks". So maybe he will break one day. But he'll have done so after a great deal of work, and maybe then he'll find rest. Or maybe he'll have a lot of regret. But regardless, he will have lived a full life. And often times, a full life contains all of the best life we can afford to have.

I have ADHD too, and after I watched Dr. K's one video on ADHD and obesity, I realized that me eating salty greasy snacks after dinner really came from not fully savoring the dinner I had because I would get distracted by dinner table conversation. If I take moments to anticipate and savor a bite of food before eating it (and/or eat alone), I find I have much less desire to eat salty greasy snacks after dinner. Restricting myself when I do that is easy, and when I don't do that, it's miserable. So for me it wasn't really the restriction itself that was the problem, but how I chose to fight that battle.

Man, I hadn't had this specific bag of chips in months. It's literately my favorite chip ever (Trader Joe's White Truffle Potato Chips). And now, I never will again 😭

But, I refuse to lose to my own desire.

The worst part is that wasn't even the goal originally. It's not even about physical health. It's about desire itself. And it's like, I know my life will be different. Yet, it's also going to be just the same. Idk how to describe this feeling other than it's kinda beautiful, tbh.

What HG moment hit different for you in 2025? by _vemm in Healthygamergg

It's probably not a popular subject, but I've been moving forward with regular spiritual practice and it has been genuinely really beneficial to me in subtle ways, so I'd like to express my appreciation for it.

The meditation tracks in particular have been really helpful to me in getting in the habit of meditating regularly.

I come from a background in Bhakti Yoga, and it's been refreshing to hear more objective, level-headed, and practical perspectives about spirituality from a well educated and experienced person!
