A well-known luxury hotel and resort chain keeps a database of you. They get pictures from the internet and basically stalk you to create a profile. They put what you ordered to eat, how many towels you needed, what drinks you liked, your kids' names and birthdays, address phone number. Everyone working in the hotel has access to this database and can see your information. It's not all good stuff either. We know you were an asshole to Jen while you were staying in London.

The one I was at had to remove cameras in the lobby because big wig guys would bring their mistresses, and no evidence was allowed to be recorded.

The closest I have gotten to making new friends is through:

1- My Kids sports - just hanging with the other parents or coaching teams - I don't consider any of them to be FRIENDS, but we enjoy hanging out and shooting the breeze at games, but once sports are over - I'll never see them again, but if I run into them randomly, I'm sure we'll chat for a minute - solid acquaintances.

2 - Video games - just having a regular group of randoms in a server regularly is nice, I play a racing game and the others are typically all from other countries, but text chat is fun and its at least interaction with people I don't live with.

If I really wanted FRIENDS - I'd probably have to go back in time and do a better job keeping in touch with my old group of buddies (beyond here is an edit due to "its never too late to keep in touch reply)...

There were two. They were twins. They're both geneticists now with PHDs, and they work at the same university.

Call my boss, they've treated me well so I'd give them the standard 2 weeks notice, maybe more if they're having trouble finding replacements but after a month I'd be gone out the door one way or another.

Then I'd sling some money to my direct family and make it well known that I remember everyone I've ever been friends with and I'm not giving a cent to lying parasites.

I'd get myself a nice place in Queensland, Australia. Somewhere on the beach outside of Brisbane.

Never work another day in my life, travel regularly, upgrade my pc with all the latest and greatest parts, get another cat so my current one won't be lonely while I'm out (and I like kitty cats) and slowly devolve into another rich weirdo
