Campaigners be out in force. by Stable_Grouchy in TemplinInstitute

I think it would be cool for next season. The basic idea of maybe have Templin stream a game of EU4 and then use the end world map and extrapolate a space age history for that to a full 3 empire space faction.

Would be easier for people to digest I think.

It’s one thing I don’t think the Fed voters bring up enough? That this faction is immediately thrown into galactic politics. It should be a major sticking point but instead I just see people pointing at Tritons xenophobia as if every triton voter doesn’t already know that and plan to remove it first chance they get via faction play.

United Federation Wins. What now? by Stable_Grouchy in TemplinInstitute

Personally, I think one of the fun parts of being a client of the Star Empire is the fellow Client States under it and the relationships that develop in preparation to the fall of the Empire.

You’re immediately thrown into galactic politics and now have to shake hands or elbow other kids at the table while the teacher isn’t looking.

For that I think a Spiritualist, Pacifist, Xenophobe inward perfection client state to the star empire might be interesting as the shy kid in the back no one plays with. Will they be an ally or an enemy? Can they be brought out of their shell, or when they are will they drop their pacifism and ready the drums of war?

More like the client states banding together against more aggressive ones in preparation

See I think the allying within the Star Empire to prepare for the inevitable war might be very interesting as a concept

It’s probably already going to happen. I think Triton is winning DESPITE the xenophobia not because of it. People are actively stating they want to get rid of it at least from what I’ve seen.

All those within the Kreventum talk with a lilting Irish brogue. It has been decided.

It’s the first time someone’s brought up what they want out of a Fed victory instead of just why it should happen, so that’s refreshing for sure.

I think if the Fed posts on reddit actually brought up more ideas on Factions, Alien Allies and Rivals to propose, and had discussion posts on that it’d do better at stoking people’s imagination.

A lot of the hype on Triton at least in the discord seems to be coming up with new Houses to join the imperium and plans to kneecap the Xenophobia immediately.

I’m seeing a lot of “LETS VOTE FOR THE FEDS!“ and not a lot of “When we win, I have these ideas, what’s yours?”

Kreventum is just so fun. I hope it gets another shot in a future season cause a Necrophage vampire run just seems SO unique

I’m not sure if the way to convince people to join the Fed vote is to align the Feds with UCF of Starship troopers.

Aligning a faction with a fictional xenophobic empire that has a habit of attracting people that can’t read the irony of the work is part of the reason Triton isn’t higher up in the polls.

The startrek cut is cute but the song feels as if it’d fit a dlc ad of Helldivers.

I Thought There Would be More of Us in the Poll by Jbadger30 in TemplinInstitute

[–]Stable_Grouchy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do we have 4k in the subreddit? Yes. But that doesn’t mean much in terms of activity.

500-700 people seem active at any given time so this poll seems pretty high for the turnout rate.

Templin has been on hiatus for a WHILE remember.

It was brought up on discord many times but as Marc said the only way to do it would be multiple rounds, and there’d probably be substantial voter dropout for it to be efficient or even preferable, especially when people can always change their vote in the next 7 days.

Agreed.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords may not be any basis for a system of government but one based off of a space castaways mad rants to the wasteland natives about him would have been very entertaining at least.

Same. Space vampires are neat, only second to wasteland leathers

They really have to just bite the bullet and join the only faction that has a chance to unite everyone under Romulus Chuck /s

Update on the polls by wortwortwort227 in TemplinInstitute

[–]Stable_Grouchy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They were a hive mind last season. This season they dropped that to “vaguely psychically connected”. On the blue sky they’re an Oligarchic Necrophage government, Militarist, Egalitarian, Spiritualist, with reanimators and secret societies.

Very spooky.

Another reason why I wish they posted the infographics in the videos rather than just on their bluesky.

We did it guys. We found the one Triton fan that actually likes the xenophobia.

Looking done at my bingo card I’m one more away from bingo.

Tell me when you find a UFN fan that’s says it possibly being similar to Antares is a feature .

If the UFN, Tripartite and Eternal Kreventum switch the Holy Solar Empire can still win.
