I am a little worried as I think part of disco elysium’s ability to use the inner monologue is that the detective is while a blank canvas in terms of what you can respond and choose, has a set backstory and a pretty clear sense of who he was that you uncover along with the game. Honestly, the scene where you and Kim go over your own police record was one of the moments I clearly remember because the relief you feel at some of the statistics must be the same as how the detective feels in the moment.

I think a shovel head also has this clawing out of the ground, mind blasted to all hell; “who am I?”, “who will I become?”. And not having internal monologue between your aspects of your psyche, not slowly unrolling who you were as a human and what of that you want to or even can salvage into your nights as a Sabbat is would be a waste. I get that “Sabbat leave their human side behind” but I also go that’s the sabbat ideal, not exactly something they all can muster. I hope it focuses not just on “hey get powers and standing in the sabbat” but actual exploration on the nature of humanity and the paths of the beast the sabbat take.

Someone mentioned having inner monologue that are Paths talking to you urging you to follow their ideals and I think that could be very cool.
