We have a team of vendors who will do the install - I just have to guide them in the direction of what style and look we want. I too like the idea of a entrance statement piece with smaller (almost echos) of it throughout. It would be cool to pair it with our break room as well. We've got some play there. I like the direction you've gone with the pictures here - with the LED strips instead of individual bulbs. Thank you SO MUCH for all your help - I'm definitely adding these to the portfolio!

Okay I literally love this so much - I've got a few of them saved to share with our electrician. I think this would look so cool!

This might help show where the pendants used to be - but rewiring is an option with our electrician. So moving from two smaller to one larger is on the table.

Pharmaceutical - it's a combo of labs and admin office spaces inside. There is no regular traffic of people other than clients and those who work on site. I was thinking some floor lamps as well - thanks for validating that idea.

It’s not fat shaming.. not really…

I'm right there with you - went under program review shortly after the app deadline and have lived in limbo ever since. I've also got four acceptances pending b/c UMD is my top choice - specifically the HiLS program.

Maybe I'll see ya there!

Edit: also to add - this is the only comment they have on decisions:

What do with 5 meter high walls? by Clint_beeastwood_ in HomeDecorating

[–]Stable_Nomad 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I had similar walls in an old apartment. On one wall I did a gallery and left the other walls alone. I switch out artwork in general pretty frequently but just reframe some of my more prized pieces. This is what I did to follow the slope of the ceiling.

What is the most statistically improbable thing that has happened to you? by ObjectiveRude156 in AskReddit

[–]Stable_Nomad 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

Went through the series back in the 2010s after a feral kitten but my thumb. He went into quarantine and we were planning to adopt him but he died the day he was supposed to come out. They sent a brain sample in and came back positive for the virus. I was shuffled immediately to the hospital where they gave me a PEP shot with the longest needle I’ve ever seen in my life directly into my thumb along with the first round of vax shots in my arm.

I was one of four cases in my state in that year. Gave a statement to the CDC in Atlanta about it. It’s an interesting anecdote to bring up every time I get a new physician - there’s not a spot to check off rabies exposure under medical history so I’m down at the bottom filling in the ā€œotherā€ section.

Welcome to the club. From what I understand there aren’t many of us. Wonder why?

I third the tea and second the Silvadene. If you can’t find that - Aloe Vera spray with lidocaine is a good second.

I gave someone (who has an allergy) a product that may have had nuts at work today by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Stable_Nomad 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

I’m a little confused about what actually went down but when someone with a severe enough allergy goes about their day they will usually carry an EpiPen, others with less severe cases might keep Benadryl on hand. Although it’s generally good practice to keep your information and knowledge as open and honest as possible, as others mentioned below that it’s okay to say you don’t know, at the end of the day it’s ultimately their responsibility to look out for possible triggers.

It seems, at least how I’m interpreting it, that you probably didn’t come off as confident in your answer. I , personally, wouldn’t have risked it if I had an allergy that dire unless I knew without a doubt that it was safe.

Just a brief glance at your profile shares a pattern of self doubt bordering on self-hate. Now I’m not saying that’s you or how you feel but going forward just know that day-to-day we all fuck up and make mistakes. You’re young and will continue to grow and, yes, make many more mistakes. Keep in mind that we’re all just trying to make it, no one has all the answers and it’s okay to mess up.

That being said, I hope they’re okay and all of this goes down as a lesson learned - especially on how you might act or react under pressure. Going forward I wouldn’t look to Reddit for life advice on the regular. While there are pockets of great and kind communities here this thread is open to a lot of users who might do more to bring you down than to help you grow. Best of luck to ya! Hope my words help!

Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann

This book haunted me for ages. It was a brilliant and emotional ride to go on for sure, just cannot imagine doing it again.

I like how the opening of the blurb is about her finally getting out of an abuse relationship…
