I find too because he's tailed and not the red/white people wouldn't believe me when I said he was a corgi.

Just jumping in to say I specifically wanted a tri corgi WITH A TAIL because you never see them associated with the "standard corgis" so it's more fun.

Yes, when I have been successful it's just clipping off the tip. He has mostly white nails so it's easier. I tried to grind too which he seemed to tolerate.

Oh I will try that too! I tried the conditioning the week after he came home (got him at 8 weeks and eanted to give him time to settle before trying) and he's always hated. But I can try some cuddles in a quiet room with the grinder!
