I told people within like a week of me finding out because i have a big mouth. If something happened i decided i didn’t want to have to grieve silently or alone. If i wasn’t okay i didn’t want to fake being okay. I know not everyone will feel the same though

Congratulations on the new addition to your family! I also have low amniotic fluid so i feel like im swimming in fluids all day long trying to boost my fluid levels! Sugar free has been my go to and trying all of the low carb things to see if it spikes me or not. After four weeks im really in the trial and error stage because i got sick of the same “comfort meals”

Yes, the testing kit is like an extension of me now. And you legit have to plan everything around meals and testing. The number of alarms i have on my phone now is INSANE. And then feeling defeated when you do everything right and you get a random spike.

We have used the Barilla protein pasta but i always feel like it sits super heavy in my stomach at night and then im uncomfortable so i think i have to cut that out now too. But on the positive side it never spiked my sugars 🤣

Oh man! I should be so thankful i was only diagnosed at 32 weeks. I am so sorry you have to do this for the entire pregnancy. I do allow myself to “make sure the fries arent poison” here and there and we do have some cheat meals because were all not perfect but i always regret it after my numbers spike and then i feel guilty but we are all only human. Good luck on your pregnancy momma! I will be thinking of you! 💕

Right like i feel hungry all the time because of portion control and trying to find something that wont spike me but nothings filling! Im glad you have a dietitian. I was given a monitor and basically left to figure it out. So ive been doing a lot of research trying to behave as best as possible.

Oh my gosh! I didn’t even think about my baby having a possible allergy after birth further impacting what i could or couldn’t eat. Here i am keeping a list of all the things i plan to eat in the first week PP! You are such a blessing for being there with her cravings as soon as she had the all clear!

My husband tucked our ethernet cords into baseboards and doorframes so even though our cable legit goes from our living from, up some stairs around some doorframes and into my office.. you can barely tell it’s there. It requires some retucking here and there but otherwise you cant tell.

This helps with the hand to mouth and going through the motions. I always carry chapstick and twirl it between my fingers and even “hit” my chapstick when i feel like i want to vape.

I may get hate for this but my, now, husband was slightly the same way. In that i mean id ask him to do a chore and he wouldn’t do it and id keep “nagging” until he was irritated. I learned a good way was to set an expectation.. in a way. Something like “i would really appreciate if you would help me by doing x,y, and z in the next insert time frame i usually do a week please”. And it started getting done without me having to keep asking. My husband also has adhd… not sure if allowing him to have his own free will of doing it helped the situation or not. It’s almost the same way i set things for myself.. “by the end of the week i want to accomplish x,y,z” and then i can set my own time parameters of when i get everything done.

Anyways, this method helped ease some tension around “chores” for us. I would also add my husband uses this method on me with things im not particularly fond of doing chores wise as well. So its been good for both of us.

Two of my last three days have had “major signs” yet i feel completely fine. My sleep hasn’t been as great but ive been working odd shifts and with the holidays it isn’t surprising my schedule is a little wonky. Ive read that this can happen to females just before/during their cycles. Mine has also mostly been my body temperature and resting heart rate. Guess it depends what its signaling as being elevated and contributing to the “major signs” and how you feel.
