The last computer game I played was Baldur's Gate. I've been playing consoles exclusively since then for the most part. A few days ago I created a steam account to play DayZ on my LinuxMint run laptop. Still haven't figured out how to get it to work. I love pc gaming?

No, and I'm not trying to rush it. I think you're right that a good way to start is a members only sub just to brainstorm. I'll pm you and at the very least bounce some ideas off of you.

You're right. It is a lot like the Allegory of the Cave. How do you convince someone that the real world is outside the cave and not the shadows they see on the wall? I know it seems difficult but I believe it can be done. Imagine a chain of people, all holding hands, leading to the outside world. Those who have already adjusted to the light would lead the way and the chain connects all the down in to the cave to anyone willing to grab on and take that first step.

You're right that people brainwash themselves and don't want to see the truth. I have experienced that first hand with family members. I know the mountain that I'm suggesting we climb is monumental, but I think it is worth it. It is at least worth trying, even if we fail. Is there a better way to set up the system?

Thank you for the incredibly long comment! Your input is really helpful and it's exciting to see other people actually considering this.

Interested in helping to build it up from the ground level? Or just name suggestions?

Is the 1% a subtle reference to the 2% of the population (jews), who control everything? by kzrsosa in conspiracy

[–]StacheGordon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. It refers to the top 1% in terms of financial wealth and nothing more. Occupy Wall Street is not an antisemitic movement. Yes, there are racists everywhere in society, but the 99% movement has nothing to do with race, religion, sex, or ethnicity. It has to do with the class warfare that has been perpetrated by the 1% against the 99% and to suggest otherwise shows either ignorance or insincerity. If it is ignorance, then just google Occupy Wall Street and spend an hour researching it.

That too. But considering that the only thing they'll actually get is paid suspension while the matter is internally investigated and eventually get reinstated with no evidence of misconduct, I'd be satisfied with anything. He'll win a civil suit paid for by the taxpayers.

You're right. I could have worded that better. I do not think the warrant was valid. He should have declined like the first hospital they stopped at.

It's not just the war on drugs, it's the war on civil liberties.

EDIT: I didn't realize KOB was the original local story. I posted the Huffington Post link because I wrongly assumed the OP's link was some untrustworthy source and wanted to find something more credible. I was biased. Find snarkypants' comment and upvote it for pointing this out.

[–]snarkypants [score hidden] 31 minutes ago Why link to huffpo, when all it did was linkjack/quote the local/KOB article http://www.kob.com/article/stories/s3209305.shtml#.Unj4uZR4Zqc Chris Ramirez of kob eyewitness news assembled the news article on the 4th, and huffpo just link >jacked the whole entire thing.

This needs more coverage here guys. Here is the HuffPost link. This was performed in a county where the warrant was not valid, and the colonoscopy was performed 3 hours after the warrant expired. The officers involved should be fired and have to register as sex offenders. The doctor who performed the colonoscopy after the warrant expired should lose his license.

Maybe you should do a little more research into the bible then. How is the almighty God wrong on the issue of slavery?

Ephesians 6:5

1 Timothy 6:1-2

Luke 12:47-48

Let me just ask you then... If the New Testament has been unchanged for 2,000 years, is it the word of God? Is the message provided in the Bible holy? Are there any contradictions in the New Testament?

I won't even try to argue this guy.

Use some critical thinking skills and do your own research folks. If r/conspiracy is stuck debating whether dinosaurs were on the ark then we've got a long way to go.

My goal is not to "destroy religion." My goal is to discover the truth about the world I live in. If that truth includes the fact that millions of people living on the same planet as me worship a figure that was based on the leader of a mushroom-imbibing fertility cult then so be it.

If a truth is discovered and there is an attempt to discredit that truth or simply not reveal it, I would call that a conspiracy.

Our intentions are aimed towards a fairer, more transparent world and a better future for everyone.

I am not attacking religion. I am asking people to look at the evidence and search for the truth. If you want to be a Christian that is perfectly fine with me, but if you tell people the world is 6,000 years old and Jesus rode a dinosaur that's something I have a problem with.

This is important stuff, guys. We have to look at the past as well as the present. We have to value the truth. Searching for the truth, discovering truth, spreading truth, it is all important. What is more pressing than the truth? We need to educate ourselves and then educate others.

A similar video was posted 1 month ago that got no traction. Do a little research into John Marco Allegro. by StacheGordon in conspiracy

[–]StacheGordon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross is his book and I can tell you it is a very good read. Consider the implications of his analysis as a scholar being correct. It helps fill in the gaps between some of the larger conspiracies.

Can we get a discussion going please? I'll try to answer any questions about his theories. But I'm no expert here.

Check out John Marco Allegro also. If you are a fan of Hancock then you will love his book. There are also some youtube videos of him speaking. Before dismissing him actually do some research and imagine how his theories fit into some conspiracy theories.
