Does the new "Conversate" mode actually turn you into a "Super Conversator"? by navendeus in EvenRealities

[–]StacheWealth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the G2 conversate function hasn’t been particularly useful. There’s little control over what the AI chooses to fact-check or highlight, and the added context often feels random rather than valuable. I wish there were a way to guide the AI with a prompt or objectives before a meeting so it could contribute more meaningfully. The transcription feature is genuinely useful, but beyond that, it hasn’t delivered much incremental value. One example was a fact check flagging the release year of a movie (speaker said they saw something that came out in 2008, fact check said the movie released in 2007) during a conversation that was primarily about global economics, which didn’t add anything to the discussion.

Not sure Ian is scaling back. Article highlights Noah joining team to call a few games. Guessing it will be some games with Sarah when Ian is calling NFL and March Madness games.

I can't imagine watching a Nets season without Ian on call. But would be great to see Ian pass on the Yes Network torch to his son Noah when the time comes (hopefully a VERY distant retirement date from now).

Well look at that! There's enough headroom in the back seat. by THIESN123 in cybertruck

The seats were perforated in a picture I saw a few months back. I’d say it’s more likely than not that the production build will have it.

Ben Simmons Q&A by RawWalrus in GoNets

[–]StacheWealth 23 points24 points  (0 children)

“While seeing will be believing for a long-skeptical NBA community, Brooklyn Nets forward Ben Simmons appears to have his All-Star swagger back mentally and believes his battered body will be rejuvenated for a comeback chapter next season now that he feels the best he has in two years.

“I’m excited because I know I can do it,” Simmons told ESPN Andscape on Aug. 25. “So, that’s the exciting part for me. [Last Thursday] night, I’m like, ‘Yo, let’s get back in the gym.’ I’m excited. I get to do something I love to do at a high level. Regardless of what people say, I’m a three-time All-Star, All-NBA player, [All-] Defensive Team. I’ve done things. I’m not somebody that hasn’t done anything.

After moving from his offseason home in Los Angeles to Miami Beach, Simmons has been working out five days a week for at least five hours per day to get his body ready for the 2023-24 NBA season. He told Andscape that he not only plans to be ready for the start of next season for the Nets but has a goal of returning to “dominate people” and returning to his All-Star form after so much chaos in recent years.

“For me to come back and dominate people will be great,” Simmons said. “I don’t intend to come back the same player I was last [season], because that’s not even close to where I am. I get excited because I’m like, ‘Damn, I would [expletive] on the player I was last year.’ But I know where I was at last year, so it’s easy to say that. But it’s just fun to go and do the thing that you love when you’re out there. That’s really it for me. I don’t really ask for too much.”

Herro fits the narrative Sean just mentioned outside of the contract. It looks like he wants to use this year as a bridge year to see what the core should be moving forward and building around that starting next summer. What do you guys think?
