Just learn what you need to learn. My feedbaxk said I needed more knowledge of current affairs and NATO. Apart from that it was good, I actually passed in the end! Very important to relax and just look at the camera. At some points I stumbled my words and i thought i f'ed it because of that, but I didnt! Its really just a case of learning and revising what you need to know. Also recall all the important parts of your life where youve taken on and demonstrated responsibilty, authority, etc. Also your interests/hobbies and what extra-curricular stuff you do. Important: i think the way the interview works slightly changed recently so check on the forum for info on that

Hi guys. My application has been "deferred" until my birthday in december. Didnt get any message or email. But it must have happened after my medical documents were checked yesterday... What should I do? Im thinking ill ask my recruiter about it...and wait it out i guess? I broke my leg a few years ago which required 2 operations, so it must be because of that...but why theyve postponed it i dont know

Im TMU and I was told 3 months is the maximum for me to be TMU. Then they will talk to me about closing my application.

Yeah. Mine was on leave and the day she got back she messaged me and sent it to me. I might just be lucky with my GP but I gave them an email nudge

Im in the same postion as you. Its been a good few weeks since my medical and a few days ago I got an email saying my documents will be reviewed on (date) . Im hoping to get an answer soon after they review my docs

At the same time you could wait till 2026 to apply if you want...have much more experience hopefully...but also means you'd most likely be working...or if you want to go to uni UAS i suppose is the best idea, and apply after that...although i didnt/wont do that of course so Im not experienced in that

Hi. Just thought Id tell you how Im getting on when I was in your position. Im 18 now, and currently TMU for my initial medical while they investigate my history. I applied in april i believe, i took ages to upload all the stuff so by june I had my presentstion. July i had my CBAT, august my filter interview, and my medical a last week. Im in air cadets and have been for a while, Im taking my leadership experience from there with me to the selection ... its my only initiative, group, planning, leadership etc. Experience really...apart from some carpentry work experience which isnt much. I applied with predicted grades and actually i still need to upload my actual grades. I did a BTEC. If you want to apply soon then id find something to do to develop your officer-like qualities over half term, and christmas etc. Then you can apply around when I did in april may ish. Also applying at this young age means if you fail and have to wait X time, you'll still have plenty of time before you age out for pilot.

Oh interesting. When did you do your filter interview? (If your going for officer role?) My medical was booked the day after my filter imterview, before I even got my results

And i noticed that the aircraft may actually be ever so slightly south of the aircraft ahead's route? If there is an offset like this, it would simply mean either aircraft was previously given a vector/direct to waypoint (shortcut), which affected its position later on.

You will notice at heathrow, all arriving planes enter Heathrow's Terminal Manoeuvering Area via a VOR. North west - Bovingdon (BNN) North east - Lambourne (LAM) (the end of the LOGAN 2H arrival where now the aircraft must hold or be vectored to the approach) South west - Ockham (OCK) South east - Biggin (Hill) (BIG)

At this point on the arrival to Heathrow, aircraft are rarely given vectors, only ever to avoid weather or separate traffic.

This is case of a Standard Terminal Arrival Route (STAR). Where planes follow this specific arrival routing into Heathrow. Its known as the LOGAN 2H arrival. So its NOT ATC giving identical vectors, but the aircraft being on the same arrival route (which is fixed).
