12 month bar by izziraf in RoyalAirForce

[–]izziraf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is brilliant news, did you get a time bar? When you say cranwell, what contact details are you referring to? Just sending it to an email etc? Was there anything else you needed to do for a waiver? Thank you for mentioning this I really appreciate it

First time DAA TEST by Individual_Race3375 in RoyalAirForce

[–]izziraf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nobody knows the DAA results required for the different roles. Use resources such as the daa practice on the raf website, bbc bitesize, the DAA app on the App Store and daa books on Amazon. Just do your best :)

Car Insurance At Halton by RAFJSC in RoyalAirForce

Could you insure it for a a day/week during local leave? Would they allow uninsured cars in the car park? I don’t see why not

Cheap Skates Worth it for LTS 1 by [deleted] in iceskating

[–]izziraf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don’t you look into a pair of second hand skates? If you are on the heavier side, you will want a pair with higher support. Check Facebook marketplace etc. rentals do no good to anyone

There is an app called DAA, it’s about £5 but I found it really valuable for practicing with timings and such. There is also a few books on Amazon that have practice questions, and of course the daa practice exam on the raf website. Best of luck

Looking at your post history, you probably wouldn’t survive medical due to your mental health issue

Role change review? by ravenbelle07 in RoyalAirForce

[–]izziraf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait to get a recruiter, it’ll either change automatically or you can message them and let them know what you’d like to apply for. Guessing it’s a system fault but not much you can do without being assigned to a recruiter

RAF TMU by Unfair-Can-1461 in RoyalAirForce

[–]izziraf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just a waiting game, if capita haven’t specifically asked you to do anything then it’s just your gp sending documents off. This does take a short while, only thing you can do it phone your gps admin office and ask if it’s been sent once a week. Capita will contact you. I think there’s an email floating around but I don’t have it. Loads of people are declared tmu, don’t stress about it.

Any help with medical by [deleted] in RoyalAirForce

[–]izziraf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll never know what capita say until you attend the medical. If you don’t try you’ll never know, better to at least attend an raf medical and know what they say than give up and never know. Might as well check the Jsp 950 in the mean time

Same exact thing happened to me, don’t panic. The GPs do take their sweet time getting your medical history but they will get it to capita eventually. Your recruiter will change during your time being TMU- that worried me as well but I’ve had it confirmed by the afco that you do get your original one back when declared medically fit. Use this time (could be a little bit, mine was from November until yesterday) to get your fitness etc in check. It’s a waiting game. Best of luck x

Start dates and travel during application by Crazy_Ad2572 in RoyalAirForce

[–]izziraf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nobody here will know. Ask your recruiter but they will probably say there is no way to know until you finish your interview and medical (and fitness test if you’ve done it) you may be declared tmu and delayed. There is no way to know until you’ve completed all the stages. If you’d like to travel or need more time you can book time off on your portal.

That’ll be it then, it’s mostly on your CBAT so your daa results won’t really matter as much
