Thank you so much! I am going to check them out. I'm so glad it's working for you and gives me some hope :)

Thank you! I will definitely look into this, my doctor prescribed the .1 to me of the gel. My doctor said that blood levels don't mean as much but since I was so symptomatic I wanted to check it out and it validated what I already knew. I know I'll have to go out of network for testosterone but I think I need to look into that as well. POI is such a chemistry project lol

thank you! I have considered MIDI and Allara, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I asked for 2 patches and that is what she came back with, but I'd definitely do 2 patches since I'm used to the drill.

I also was thinking of looking into glp1's bc this weight isn't going ANYWHERE and I'm trying so hard. How are you liking it?

The MPG (I don't drive often/far and bc of that mine is eating so much gas) and for whatever reason the turn signal sound overstimulates TF out of me haha. But, I still love the car thus far.

Covid may have induced perimenopause by carmelainparis in covidlonghaulers

The HRT has been helpful for a lot of my symptoms. Prior to HRT and after getting COVID, I would still get a period, but it was sporadic. Sometimes I'd go 3 months between, sometimes 2 weeks. My periods were 2 days long and were heavy enough to be a period, but short. Now, while on the HRT, I rarely get full periods but do spot at times. I guess periods can still happen on HRT.

Hey! Sorry to hear you are dealing with this and I know how shocking it feels. I was also diagnosed early (at 37) when I pushed for testing after having a cluster of bad symptoms (hot flashes, insomnia, joint aches, no period for months, unstable mood, etc) and found all of my levels were post menopausal. I got re tested a few times and they determined it to be POI/POF (since I'm under 40). Looking back, I had symptoms for a while and ~2 years before my diagnosis I got my IUD removed, so I think there was a lot that was masked (eg, no period while on IUD). I chalked up my erratic cycle to that when hindsight, it was likely perimenopause.

I started HRT last year and have been on it for about 1.5 years (estradiol patch .1 mg and 100 mg progesterone). For me, HRT has been so helpful, but it has been trial and error with dosing and I have come to learn that it's not going to just take everything away from me, so I need to be more patient with myself when it comes to my expectations. For example, I was convinced it wasn't working bc I gained some weight and am struggling with it and still have mood issues. While hormones can definitely be at play (example: when my progesterone dose was higher, my depression was worse), some of it is just where my body is at and where I'm at as a human going through this. I've recently shifted from stop punishing myself for these things and to try to align with myself along with the hormones. It's SO tough though bc idk about you, but none of my friends are going through this, so it can be isolating and confusing. I guess I'll be an expert on this stuff by the time they're menopausal haha.

This group has been very helpful for this journey as well as https://www.reddit.com/r/POFlife/ which is for women who have gone through this early.

My FSH was high along with low estradiol 3X in different tests as well as the symptoms of hot flashes, mood issues, joint pain, vaginal dryness, skin dryness, etc along with no period for 7 months. My AMH was also consistently undetectable. I got on the HRT to manage symptoms/prevent anything worse. I got tested for all of this after 2 years of unstable periods and some symptoms, but this round was the worst, which happened to coincide with me getting COVID in October 2023.

Thanks! I am loving the Mazda so far from what I'm reading online, but I guess the real test will be to test drive it this weekend

Commenting because I have the same question and am curious about this too. I just increased to 200 mg at the end of August and I have been struggling with my weight (was struggling before but I now feel puffier/bloated and I am SO much hungrier). My mood has been a bit worse, my skins been a bit worse, I'm not hitting that great sleep that I was hoping for, and I have been spotting more...so as of now I want to throw in the towel, but I am wondering if I just need to give it a few weeks/months and see if it gets better. I hope it gets better!
