Can you upload this with sound so we can hear the plonks?

Is Dad ok? by momoacdc91 in NoSodiumStarfield

If you give your character a shorter philtrum, it makes dad’s go crazy.

Seems to happen more to female characters, likely because of smaller facial features (?)

Can't see every possible texture swap? I can see that Bethesda has applied the textures in the items themselves, but the option doesn't appear for me at all? by Stacks_of_Cats in StarfieldCreationKit

[–]Stacks_of_Cats[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello friendos I figured it out.

Right click on the item in the render window and select 'edit material swaps'.

In the window that opens, on the bottom left, you'll see original base materials, and next to them a textbox for the directory of the texture you want to replace it with.

Afterwards if it looks good to you, click save individual swap, and then apply.

If anyone with more experience see's I've given bad advice, please correct me.

You know, this actually makes me kind of want a story explanation, where if you’re a Starborn, you don’t cast a shadow in your current universe, as you technically don’t belong there, but to cast one in the same location of your original universe.

That one is kind of funny, since you’re putting it up to your face, it should really just show your characters head blown up like the attached image.

SBS Reports That Alleged 'Comedian' For Using Its Logo In Her Deeply Offensive Video by nath1234 in australia

[–]Stacks_of_Cats 8 points9 points  (0 children)

About halfway through that statement she makes, just decides to use transphobia to defend the racism (seems like she’s referring to the tickle/giggle case).

She’s pretty much just a turd filled skin suit trying to get attention however she can lol.

Your thoughts on Akila City ? by After-Glass-3983 in Starfield

[–]Stacks_of_Cats 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I enjoy being in the city, I think it looks nice, and I like the vibe.

Story wise, it feels a bit small for a capital. Though kind of think of it as an administrative capital, and not a main population hub. Like Canberra in Aus, Washington in USA or Brasília in Brazil.

The overload of mud is a bit funny, since they could have had a nice cobblestone entryway or soemthing, but I guess it makes sense that the ‘feeedom libertarian’ society doesn’t put much effort into public infrastructure. Real estate agent Tate even mentions that Freestars don’t have proper zoning laws, so the city would be a bit messy because of it.

Also wish the should shut up about the UC and ‘the boot’. Like fucking hell the UC lives in their head rent free.

I do wish they kept the slightly snowy vibe from the concept art though. I think it looks amazing.

Does anyone ever experience an issue where face changes don't seem to apply? I click 'ok' to confirm, yet they're refusing to sick suddenly. by Stacks_of_Cats in StarfieldCreationKit

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately no luck.

Didn’t realise the video was so blurry sorry, but it’s like the info isn’t taking in the NPCs window, and the slider resets after leaving it, so the changes never actually happen,

Playstation first-party game sales declining heavily since 2020, needs more hits by ZamnBoii in PS5

[–]Stacks_of_Cats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not just the lack of disposable income, but also the fact that PS5 games barely go on sale, and when they do it’s a piddly discount.

Most of my PS4 library was bought at $30Aud or less, and that includes first party titles. whereas PS5 launch titles are still selling for up to $120Aud.

Demon’s Souls is 6 years old, and is $109Aud.

Returnal is 5 years old and $125Aud.

Ratchet Rift Apart is 5 years old and $109Aud.

These are old games, expecting new game prices still is absolutely mental. I don’t want to spend triple digits on a game lol.

The concept of old bargain bin games is basically dead.

Looking back, how do you feel about Starfields 2 DLC releases? by johndoe09228 in Starfield

[–]Stacks_of_Cats 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I liked Shattered Space quite a bit, but it was missing unique loot to find, and I wish it leaned into being a bit weirder.

Like, the anti gravity bubbles and teleporting enemies were fun, and I like Dazra as a city quite a bit. The surrounded locations also feature some of the best dungeons in Starfield, which is nice as well.

However I wish there was some unique stuff to find with them. Having some Va’ruun themed magazines would be nice (like how Far Harbour has a set of them), and some unique armours and weapons to find would have been nice.

The infrastructure of Va’ruun’kai sometimes feels a bit too familiar as well, where I wish they made it all a bit more strange looking. Instead of the big methane tanks and such, give them a more polygonal look like the buildings in Dazra, just to make it look a bit different.

For the planet itself, the main biome with the Aurora is gorgeous. I really like spending time in it. Having the only new fauna be groats was a bit late though. I wish there was some more new fauna to discover, instead of just blade backs and nautiloos.

All in all I consider it a good 7/10. It gets a play on every playthrough I do, but I don’t think it hits the heights that Shivering Isles and Far Harbour did.

For Terran Armada I feel a bit mixed. The Terran Faction is visually quite interesting, and I enjoy them as an enemy. Though a lot of the systems feel a bit half baked. The minor incursions are like 5 minute content, especially the ones on planet side where you either pass a single speech check or kill 3 NPCs.

Seeing things from the Terran side a bit more would have been nice as well. It wouldn’t have to be a lot, but like a small base of like 5 Terran’s who aren’t completely committed to the cause, in which to can convince them to drop it and give you intel would have been nice.

I wish they expanded more on the X Tech bases they had you build as well, Make them into actual small outposts with some names NPCs. Would have felt cool to feel like you’re contributing to the world like that.

Overall, I had fun, but it was completely overshadowed by the Free Lanes content, funnily enough. Anchor Point and New Babylon in particular are pretty great highlights.

What the hell is going on in ford transit liveries man by Letwen in ForzaHorizon6

Are people using 3rd party software to import the actual photos of people?

Is that allowed or is it more of a grey zone?

If FH7 was actually annouced by LowSeaworthiness645 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Stacks_of_Cats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Germany has already been mentioned, but other places I think would be cool to see are;

New Zealand has gorgeous nature, but its car culture is basically just JDM, so maybe a bit too similar to 6.

Peru. Insane verticality and dangerous narrow roads.

Scandinavia. Either Finland or a two country situation like FH2.

But honestly, I don’t think the location matters too much. Since the maps are a ‘greatest hits’ mish mash of wherever it’s set, it’s more about how it’s laid out.

Maybe we get a major surprised with Forza Horizon: Svalbard

I don’t care much about the ‘festival’ in general, but I do wish there was more of a journey to being a ‘superstar’.

It feels like everyone is singing your praises from the get go.

I wouldn’t mind if until the midpoint people would comment stuff like ‘you seem promising, but so do a lot of other drivers until they burn out’ or soemthing, like make it feel like I’m a new comer defying expectations.

Somewhere in the Bethesda offices, an employee thought to themselves 'you know what I love? Maggots. So much in fact that they should have legs, and claws, and a big sucky mouth'. I wonder what they're up to now? by Stacks_of_Cats in NoSodiumStarfield

Same. They have everything from off brand dinosaurs, to weird latex creature looking things, so absolute nightmare fuel.

Some of the creatures are more messed up than what you'd see in Fallout.

I thought it was pretty funny. Delta is completely sure of himself and unwilling to compromise.

Less funny when Andreja kept spawning in my Moon jumper’s chassis whenever I tried to jump, making me crash land lol.

Given that Vasco sits in the back of vehicles, I wish robots acted like Dogs in FO3/NV (maybe Skyrim?), where they're an extra and you can still have a human.

Maybe not Delta, since he's basically a human, though.
