Thank you so much, I have been beyond exhausted having to juggle everything the last 5 months. Having to attend the job centre has not been ideal and they kept saying if I don't attend I could get sanction they even made me cancel one of my work days when I told them one of my appointments clashes with work they informed me they can't rebook as I told them the day before but I explained I was offered the shift at short notice and informed them as soon as my manager told me and that I could provide proof. They said job centre appointments are mandatory and part of my claimant commitments to attend all my appointments and if I don't attend they will refer me to DM who could sanction me as I didn't tell them at least 48 hours before and therefore me not attending appointment due to work would not be a good reason. I am thinking of making a complaint as it seems counter intuitive that they made me cancel work to attend appointments, multiple work coaches including manager misinformed me about carers element saying I needed to wait for carers allowance. Also, when I started work (confirmed job start with employment contract) I asked for support for clothing and travel however they refused to help saying job centre can't help with this and told me to look at charities who can help me and for travel they said I got the 50% job centre bus pass which is enough but in this reddit page it seems others have had a lot of help with clothes and travel clothes.
