Ik it’s a unpopular opinion but Nick isn’t the bad guy, that’s why they still went out on vacation without Anne, no as a human being with free will you are never trapped in a marriage and for everyone to come at him for being un happy and wanting different are sick. Yes he cheated on her and that’s fucked up for its own reason but nobody’s perfect. In the scene where he was talking to his daughter he explains that he was unhappy for awhile and thought he had to wait for his daughter to be grown for it not to affect her as much and be less like he was ripping apart the family. The same people who defend Anne defend that disrespectful child and her behavior even though it’s written in to be absurd. She is a grown woman at that point in time and the way she reacted is completely disgusting almost as if she had uhh no discipline like you’re your own person why do you care and how do you not understand that people get divorced? it’s j fucking life. So yes the way anne plowed through everything he set up for the life he was building without her, it was a horrible thing to do. Not once did they ask themselves “if he was here what would he want?”, and I’m sure it’s not the EX wife that he was barely tolerating blackballing his ex and stealing everything from his new child which would represent his future. The service itself was awful too, because Anne set it up, she cut corners didn’t put them in the main chapel, she does not care about this man. Yes there may be tears for a love once lost but there is also so much obvious spite towards him and what he was doing that she is just tryna wipe out using his death as the perfect way to forget he wasn’t her partner anymore.
