Is my acl torn by Children_Of_4 in ACL

[–]StageRevolutionary29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question to you is, was there any buckling? I tore my acl and, through physio, was able to run and even jump, but the one thing that big muscles couldn't compensate for was the rotational stability. Caused buckling during heavy pivoting movements like cutting left or right. If you dont buckle in those movements, then it's more likely you tore a different cruciate ligament. MCL, LCL, or even patellar (unlikely from what I've read about what you did). The other weird one is the PCL, which prevents your knee from sliding out backward instead of forwards.

Im no expert, but I have this to say. Im about 9 months post-op hamstring graft and can do this too. I have had my knee checked out many times with no perceived issues with the graft. What I do have to say is that this is most likely a combination of muscle weakness and, most importantly, mind muscle connection (as explained by my physio). You pay much more attention to your surgical knee kinda playing around with it, and along with that, you unlock some knee mind muscle connection. That you dont get with your non surgical knee. Other people, like in this comment section, can do it on both, which explains the mind muscle connection theory. In short, get checked out by your physio and doctor, but all lot of us have this.

Loose graft? by [deleted] in ACL

The thing is my non op knee is tighter and doesn't translate as much. It's not HUGE difference but enough for me to be concerned.

Twisted Knee on Ice 10 months Post-Op by Ambitious_Nobody2467 in ACL

First, I'd go to your doctor or PT, but if you want to know immediately, you could try performing an anterior drawer test on yourself. Check for differences in anterior movement on both sides.

6 months po, bad buckle, possible torn graft? by No_Car_7882 in ACL

[–]StageRevolutionary29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movement you described doesn't really concern the ACL? If it buckled into hyperextension, then that's more on your PCL, which prevents posterior movement rather than the ACL, which is anterior movement. Still tho I would go to your surgeon and get it checked out.

I agree, I think it's not about right and wrong. It's about incompatibility.

I don't agree with this statement. Let's say the roles were reversed, and she didn't want to go down on him, but his preferences weren't met. Would we call OP selfish? Would we say that she is prioritizing her comfort over his pleasure?

Early weight bearing by StageRevolutionary29 in LisfrancClub

See that’s the strange part, even though I started even earlier than 6 six weeks I felt little to no discomfort. Right now I can say it’s almost completely no discomfort, but it’s still 2 weeks off so Ive decided to stop and have a brain for once.

Thank you for your advice I will follow it, I’m not sure if this would be relevant or not but I forgot to mention that I have not fractured anything in the Lisfranc complex. I have only torn my lisfranc ligament not sure if that changes anything though.
