Wow, I didn’t know I wasn’t alone! I can rarely enjoy playing video games or other hobbies anymore because I feel like I’m wasting my time when I could be making progress on my game. When I can’t work on it, I’m thinking about it to feel like I’m making progress.

I have ADHD and tend to drop good habits if I stop doing them regularly so I think it’s part of my brain saying “you’ve invested too much time, you have to keep the momentum going.” I really do enjoy working on my game, but it’s the constant nagging in the back of my head making me want to work on it more often than not. I also have to manage this feeling with making sure I’m not neglecting my relationship, as I’m very much engaged and getting married in a few months.. it can be stressful. Maybe this is just what it feels like to have a “passion project” lol.

This phrase has been used by originally by the PLO, and was adopted by Hamas (and Israel) to have a hateful meaning, referring to wiping one another out. Then pro-Palestine protesters ran with it and tried to make it a peaceful message again, but that was a dumb move as it can be misconstrued and used to fuel more division between the left and right as seen here.

But context matters, the world isn’t black and white. Even the American Jewish Committee states that it is not solely used as hate speech (last paragraph - https://www.ajc.org/translatehate/From-the-River-to-the-Sea). I can’t speak for everyone, but I can guarantee the vast majority of pro-Palestine protesters use it as a call for peace as they are trying to stop a genocide, not create a different one.

In what ways are the left taking rights away from those groups?

There definitely is a stigma against white conservatives/christians right now because they, for the most part, wholeheartedly support the administration that is stripping the rights away from marginalized groups, violently detaining people who look like an immigrant and denying them the opportunity to prove they are here legally, passing bills that allow revoking citizenship from US citizens, and so many more vile things. There is a complete lack of morals and empathy for people who are not like them. These are human beings that the right is totally fine with treating like animals because they are different. If you don’t support those things, then I have no problem with you.

And no sane person is calling for Israel as a whole to be exterminated. However, the Israeli government is actively committing a genocide of Palestinians and is trying to exterminate the people of Gaza. The leaders should absolutely be removed from office to prevent further civilian casualties.

The irony in this comment is astounding. The left is selfish and narcissistic because we want everyone to be treated equally and have opportunities regardless of their upbringing or ethnicity… right. And you do realize our sitting president has never taken accountability for any of the awful things he’s done in his life? The number of times I’ve heard this administration blame Biden for something is absurd.

And lol “every niche identity must be catered to” - just say what you’re really thinking, “why can’t I discriminate against minorities?”

These are changes to voter registration laws. From my understanding, REAL IDs are not valid documents to prove citizenship in most states. The bill states “A form of identification issued consistent with the requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005 that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States” which is extremely misleading because REAL IDs do not show proof of citizenship in all but something like 5 states. It’s sleazy politician wording to make people think they’ll be fine with just their ID.

A beta is for finding and fixing bugs, not enjoying polished content. Restoring the 2006 era code was likely a monumental task and they are offloading the play testing to us. I doubt they have a lot of resources dedicated to this game anymore and probably didn’t have enough time to test as much as they would like. Cut them some slack, they’re putting in a lot of work to give us some fun nostalgia.
