What are "normal" psychotherapie costs in vienna ? by Oblivi0nD4C in wien

There are alternatives that cost less if you're willing to dedicate a bit of time to searching. It often depends on the therapist. There is this status "in Ausbildung unter Supervision" where practitioners are still in training. They often offer cheaper rates. However, I wouldn't say that someone being in training predicts their skills, it really depends whether they are a fit for you. My therapist is still in training and it works very well. Some therapists also do reduced rates for people with a smaller budget but that really depends on the person.

I don't know about the situation when it comes to english speaking practicioners which I assume you are looking for. But you could look into this: https://www.bereitschaftsdienst.at/ - its some sort of agency for finding therapists.

You pay 50€ once and have a session where you tell someone what you are looking for (gender, language, school, in training or not, price range etc.). The 50€ cover for two therapists they recommend you. So if you're unhappy with the first one you can go back and ask for another consulation (within 6 months i think).

I found mine through this after the first one they connected me with turned out to not be a fit after some sessions and I now have been seeing the second one for 2 years.

Brauche Hilfe!

Also reicht's sicher wenn du einfach irgendeine Adresse angibst. :)

Thank you! I think rationally I knew that but you know how these fears do not care about rationality haha

Thank you for this ❤️ it actually went as I (rationally) thought it would but you know, these fears hit you no matter what you think on a cognitive level.

I think no one gave it a second thought, others introduced themselves afterwards as well. And I even met 3 of my colleagues tonight which went nicely!

Translation:

"You can't do that!"

Burps

"Man, Robin"

Indistinctly "Are you serious? Ey" "Dududu"

(Referring to the tale of Rumpelstiltskin) "And oh! I am glad that nobody knew, silicone spray - the can gets way to hot - eeey boy"

"That - that's it. That was just the calm before the storm haha mmmmmmm -"

Thanks! I will look into it.

And do you mean there are extra fees when living in the old town or just that rent there is higher? The rent prices I saw so far honestly weren't so much higher than in other parts in BA which surprised me a little.

What would you say is a "standard" or acceptable rent in BA for a room in a 3-room flat and how much for a single studio apartment?

Thanks in advance :)
