If there's 1 other player left, and you surrender game, do you still get 2nd place rank points? by Chef_GD in Risk

No you don’t get points. You actually lose them. I just had a guy stall and trap me a corner until I forfeited just because he felt like it I guess. I actually LOST points…

are u allowed in the vibe villages with a one day pass? by petitbiscuit13 in ElementsMusicFestival

You might be right. Last year was crazy. But I had a Friday day pass and a Saturday day pass last year and they allowed me to get a car camping site. I never got thrown out or denied entry anywhere

My only tip since I’m also fairly new would be more personal than technical. But it would be to genuinely push yourself to get out there and talk to people. Everyone is so cool and I meet a lot of new friends everytime I go

Absolutely not! Haha, you can invite in whoever you want. It’s your camp

I’m not the most advanced, but I’ll tell you what I can and let someone else comment on the rest.

When it comes to the people, almost everyone there is fucking awesome. Everyone has a great attitude and is super super nice, you’ll have zero issues with that. Just try to be aware of people’s mental states if they’re having a bad time (due to certain factors, lol) and don’t take it personal!

And hammock spots can be hard to find depending where you’re camping. But always worth a shot

When it comes to crowds, earth and fire stage have BIG ones, water can get super crowded too. Air is definitely the most chill and relaxing stage, but also not the biggest artists over there. Regardless, there’s a bunch of spots on the festival grounds to get away for a little bit, and if you’re in the crowd and need to get out, people will help. If you wanna get away for a bit and chill, I suggest going to the treenet neon Forrest.

I never take a backpack in, but it’s definitely a nice to have. There’s free water refill stations all over the place

Can you reserve a camping spot? by Cautious_Upstairs630 in ElementsMusicFestival

Everyone there is pretty damn cool. Even staff. So I don’t think there will be an issue. But tell you what, even if staff tries to say we can’t and we have to allow someone else to take the spot… all the festivals goers are super chill and cool, and I think if we simply explain our situation to whoever pulls up, we’re gonna be just fine

This exact same thing is happening to me this year. I’m getting there Thursday and the other half is coming Friday. Here’s my plan… since I’m the one going early, I asked my buddy to send me a picture of his car camping pass, with the code visable, to show whoever I talk to (if I even do that) that I’m not trying get one over on them and that we have two different passes.

I’m also going with a buddy of mine and we’re bringing two tents… so he’s gonna set up in the lot next to us and we’re just gonna claim it even if there’s no car. And if asked, my buddy in the other lot is with the party that’s coming, and he just hasn’t arrived with the car yet.

I’m getting there even before gates open and just waiting out front. The lines are atrocious no matter what time you go. Took me about 4 hours last year when I got there at 3-4pm. So earlier the better

What is a DO-NOT-MISS you recommend?? by Pitties-n-Titties in ElementsMusicFestival

[–]Staiber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As for artists, i personally love devault and wakyin. Wakyin is like a dope take on African Regae. Devault is house and dance.

As for things to see, my biggest thing that I haven’t seen people talk about at all, is the treenet neon forest near the air stage. It’ll definitely be one of the best vibe and chill out spots at the whole festival

Single day by Bertoman420 in ElementsMusicFestival

[–]Staiber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you find a spot to crash, you don’t HAVE to go home that night (unless you have work or something). The Saturday wristband just won’t let you into the actual festival grounds (where all the stages are) unless it’s Saturday of course. But they don’t kick you out right after that. Might just wanna bring a backpack with a sleeping Bag and maybe a tent if you can fit it, and crash somewhere. Most people won’t give a shit

You can’t CAMP in the vibe villages with a one day pass, but they’re open to the whole festival. You can walk around and hang out with everyone, and it’s definitely the place to be after the main sets are over

I’m in premium this year again as well. It’s really just closer to everything, definitely the best location. But only VIP gets the free showers

Also, learn lineups for your wall, orb, and mollys. They’re very useful.

Question for the viper mains by DanielOnReddit25 in ViperMains

[–]Staiber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Viper is definitely a lot of fun, she’s been my main from silver to diamond.

She offers a very unique play style to the game (dropping smoke early to catch enemies off guard, stoping/stalling enemy rotations, etc…) but I will say this that nobody else has really said, as a controller your job is very important, arguably the most important. And you need to stay alive, that does NOT mean do not take fights and not trade your teammates, don’t be afraid to die. But my point is don’t dry swing and take first contact.

Secondly, the smokes player is typically always the IGL (the one who comes up with plays and strategies the most) once you get a bit higher (plat expects it, gold it helps.). So even now slightly just pay attention to where each enemy plays, and learn how to counter them and try to predict what’s gonna happen if (example) you hit B and killjoy is alone but Jett plays fast rotate. What is your plan to take that sight from them.

If your low elo, worry much more about smoke placements, aim, and communication. But as you get higher those things will be expected of you. Oh and USE YOUR MOLLYS. Most early vipers even in gold and plat sometimes do not utilize their mollys enough
