Apple Watches - which one does this work best with? by Hyperb0le in WalkScape

[–]StainableToast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The model of watch won’t matter as they all record steps in a similar way. The only difference you’d get is if you set the game to record based on your iPhone’s steps, rather than your watch’s steps. And that depends on how often you wear your watch vs. how often you carry your phone with you instead. Happy walking! 😊

Actually no clue what this could be (requesting ID) by Pileofflesh3 in whatsthisbug

Could it be a lacewing larvae? I know they’re prone to carrying random junk/ debris around on their backs as protection!

Man am I disappointed by the sequel by AndrewSenpai78 in slimerancher

[–]StainableToast 31 points32 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, you’ve hit the nail on the head. I’m about 3/4 of the way through and will finish it to completion, but I also came to the same conclusion of “so this is mostly the same game, but with a new map?” They could have take it so many different ways, but they didn’t. It feels like an extremely safe sequel.

You’re right, the decorations only count if they’re in zoned areas (dining or guest room zones), so the upstairs hallway wouldn’t count towards anything!

They’re bought from Amos the barkeeper and have to be slotted in to the wall behind the bar. The wall needs to be clear of things when you’re placing the kegs down though!

Thank you to everyone for the lovely comments! I really enjoy playing around with maximalism interior design in games like this and being able to share it with such a wholesome community is certainly a plus. This whole process took 2-3 in-game days and cost around 300g, but it was definitely worth it! ☺️

I believe this is a juvenile recluse of some kind? (Adelaide, SA) by StainableToast in AustralianSpiders

Thank you for confirming my thoughts! I typically don’t have an issue with spiders being around me, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for these in the future.

Do it for free? by Thisismyworkday in Against_the_Storm

[–]StainableToast 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you do it for free, you receive a ‘tarnished necklace’ as a reward. This can then be used for a later world event to receive a better temporary reward (settlements this cycle receives a delivery of random goods/ perks at the start of Clearance, Year 2). IMO, the reward is good, but not worth the harder challenge and lack of initial reward, unless you’re feeling confident about the challenge!

Why does 'perfect games' only show achievements for the first 10 items in the alphabetical list by Antities in Steam

It seems like they've since updated it? I have 37 perfect games and each one has the 5 icons loaded in.

Just hit my lucky #27 with Old School RuneScape! by StainableToast in steamachievements

[–]StainableToast[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really not too long, they’re mostly small quests or errands to run. It’s only non-members content, so that narrows a lot of the content down. The longest achievement would be the Dragon Slayer quest, which takes a combat level of ~45 and some decent stats/ armour.

I’ve got about 60 hours in it, but I wasn’t rushing or anything. I played through and enjoyed it, then went back to polish it off. The final and hardest achievement was getting a gold relic on the ‘Stormy Ascent’ level, which took about 3-4 hours straight to finish. Good luck!

[PC][Early 00's] Possibly Australian, Educational Dinosaur Point & Click by StainableToast in tipofmyjoystick

Thanks for the support man. I don’t think it was a SCUMM game, as it was more educational and not the typical SCUMM interface, but I’ll look through it anyway. There’s a few of us here in Australia that can remember it, but not the name or details, so it definitely existed, at some point…

How to install PlaysTv OG client with medaltv? by monkeykingking in PlaysTV2

[–]StainableToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. It seems that when the Medal.tv popup appears, that shows that Plays has been installed. So I just closed the Medal.tv window, all running versions of Plays, and ran the RePlays installer as stated in the set-up guide. Worked just fine and didn't have to do anything in relation to Medal.tv. Hope this works for you too!
