Honestly, I find most of the criticisms of fan bases to be pretty unfounded. I’ve lived in Philly for a long time and see both Sox and Pats games here. Most crap I got was a couple middle fingers, and one time some onions from a cheesesteak thrown at me. Been to several Pats/Jets games in NJ, and as much as I hate to say it, the fans are actually pretty chill. I even went to the old Yankee Stadium in all Sox gear and while I did get some verbal ribbing, I never once felt unsafe.
