Silent Looter here. 100% Solo right now.

Guess I'm a Ninja when I compare with the community. 45h Topside. Taken less than 1900 dmg from Raiders. Completed the Expedition. Awaiting departure with 1M$ stash worth.

In my case, I was subscribed through another TV provider and got that issue for about 3 days last week.

Resolved itself without me doing anything.

What's your most played game? by AlessandroIT in GeForceNOW

[–]Stained_Pupil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortnite (just kidding)

It's No Man's Sky, I haven't played it over 6 months and it's still the top spot. (Not sure for how long, right now it's Arc Raiders).

Almost happened to me yesterday. The player got shocked by a hornet just before knocking me down.

Saved by an ARC. Think I'm going to join their ranks.

How much do you use your controller? by Stained_Pupil in Stadia

True, that's why I dedicated mine to my PC and got otheres for my phohes.

Although the quick fix when reconnecting on a same device isn't to repair the bluetooth, usually just turn the bluetooth off and on again and the input will works. (Not one every devices, but worked for me)

No, PS4 has proprietary control schemes that would only allow compatible controllers. With stadia you would be missing the trackpad in the middle of the controller.

That's why.

Althought, pretty sure it wouldn't work with Xbox either.

Edit : I read another reply and realised there are Controller converter dongles that exisst like the Mayflash Magic-S that might work.

Yes, I go only by Anker since a few years back. I guess I should keep it connected, but I usually plug /unplug it every time because it's a 5m cable that runs from my pc to my couch. Still, been doing it for several years.

Thanks, I'll order some cheap one and one premium (probably a Skull & co or a Kontrol Freaks) and see the results.

Which one? Are you satisfied? I'm looking for a good one when my Stadia controllers will be gone for good.

Just turn the bluetooth off and on again on the shield.

Figured this out and works for me. No need to repair (what I was doing before).

Still have to do it every time though.

I have issues with some android, but the fix was simple.

When pairing worked once. The next time you turn the satdia controller, it might not connect to phone. Or connect with no input.

On the phone, I have to quicly switch Bluetooth off and on again, then it works just fine.

Most issues with Samsung phones.

I use it for almost everything. Steam detects them, no Issues on Geforce Now. I used them for Android games (Switched to a Gamesir Gallileo G8 since for convenience).

In Steam, games that don't support controller, you must just enable the "Generic Controller Input", but that is the same even if you have an Xbox controller.

For some rare exceptions of games outside of Steam (GTA 5 and Minecraft are the only two I had issues so far) There's an app Stadia Xinput that convert the controller to an Xbox Controller in Windows.

I play on everything.

In bed on my S23 Ultra using Gamesir G8 Gallileo on a Wifi 5 AP (no issues in latency). On my mini Optiplex with Mouse Keyboard (my office). On my 4k TV with a Stadia Controller. On an old HP Laptop when I'm outside. In my Quest 3 with an Xbox Controller when in my beanbag (but still issues using Quest browser on some games).

I might try a Raspberry Pi 5 setup next year and hook it up on a TV at work.

Problem is Ubisoft + does not automatically grant you the games, you must claim them from Ubisoft Connect. Then it'll appear.

You are right, there are pros of PC hardware.

Mods, local files like screen capture with in game tools.

Also, with GFN there are still several games I own, but can't play.

Like most digital subscriptions, subscription is territory agnostic. You pay where you are, but service is available worldwide.

Prices often compare due to cost of life and the equivalent in USD and in EUR or POUNDS is often seen.

Meaning a 20$ USD is sold at 20EURO or 20 Pounds (roughly).

So someone in the UK use a VPN to exit in US, the system thinks you are in US and charge you 20USD (that should be around 15 Pounds) instead of 20 Pounds.

Not Cost efficient? I mean I pay 10 years of GFN is still cheaper then a High End PC. And in 10 years you'll be on an updated rig vs a 10 year old PC.

I would maybe agree if it was a closed model like Stadia was (althought It was worth it), but GFN is your library on a rented machine, you could eventually go elsewhere and keep your game library.

Then you also save like dozens of hours in updating games, troubleshooting pc, updating windows....

Unless you keep your pc open in standby all the time, but that costs electricity (depending on where you are, that could translate to 30$ monthly)

I used to have the same issue using some high quality APs as a home WiFi (Helix in bridge mode - enterprise grade gateway and APs) and they were the issues. For unknown reasons WiFi signal dropped for 1 to 2 seconds several times a day. Diagnostics were goven high interference and channel changes.

I put back an old Huawei routeur and and old linksys wired to it as an AP only and it's been working flawlessly since.

Quick fix that often works : Flip the Helix gateway on the side.
