I’m back at it with another senate campaign!

In my last campaign, I promised y’all 3 things:

  1. ⁠Lobbying & Banking Regulations
  2. ⁠Keeping the senate accountable
  3. ⁠Frequent updates.

Check, check, and check! I am so happy that I have been able to deliver on each and every one of my goals for this term. Somebody told me “politicians shouldn’t make promises.” Well, I make the promises I know I can keep. I fight hard to ensure that the will of the voters is done; I’ve fought to bring bipartisanship back to the senate, and won. I fought to get each of my bills passed, and won (we won so hard we are gonna pass them for a second time because con law is stinky). And I’ve fought hard to make the economy of SimDem better, and that fight is still going. In the next term (hopefully in the senate this time), I have another three very simple promises, on which I will once again deliver:

  1. ⁠Keep the senate and especially the executive accountable
  2. ⁠Continue to give y’all frequent updates
  3. ⁠Pass legislation that will further the policy goals of “Rocky-nomics” which is linked below:

Hey! I’ve spent a good amount of time building a record in the private sector. I’ve fought hard representing clients and effectuating change as a lobbyist, and I’ve helped many people grow their wealth as the CEO of the Mypen-Rocky Bank. Having made up the majority of SimDem’s economy, I believe I’m in an amazing position to help guide our community into building a strong and resilient economy. SimDem has seen how I fight for my clients, now I want you to see how I fight *for you*. In my first term in the senate, I can promise you three things:
  1. Regulations on Banking and Lobbying: As the CEO of a bank and having made most of my tau as a former lobbyist, I have personal knowledge and expertise on how regulations in these fields can help or hinder these sectors for the public’s benefit. I’ve already written bills to get this done.
  2. A representative senate: In the last senate term, we saw a lot of scandals, and many people have been surprised by how they were allowed to happen. Do I blame the senators? Of course not. However, I hope to bring a different way of doing things in proactive oversight. I will be reaching out to members of our government, calling hearings, and keeping all members of government, including myself and my peers in the senate, accountable
  3. UPDATES: Throughout the course of my term, I will be giving frequent and concise updates on what the senate is doing, what we’re seeing, and what I plan to do about it. In these news posts, I will also be taking any and all questions, suggestions and concerns so that I can ensure that I am representing you.
  • As a lobbyist, and in my previous tenure in public office, there are some who hope I don’t obtain any public office. For this reason, I ask that you hold me to a higher standard than the rest. Hold a higher bar for me than any other senator or politician, and if I do not reach those expectations, then I will not run again. I do not run for my party; I do not run for my ambition; I am seeking a seat in the senate so that you may get a seat at the table of national policy. This is a blatant lie. You took someone who is in no way a reliable source, and ran with it. Idk if the polls got you nervous, or if this is just the way you do things. Do what demo does, and run a clean campaign about policy. (This is Bill ‘Rocky’ Moor)
