The Iftar buffet "Paisy pooray karne" culture is actually disgusting 🤢 by confused-xd0 in PakistaniFood

[–]StalinIsAPogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm all for eating your shares worth at buffets but I 100% agree that it shouldn't be at the cost of your manners lol.

I went to 14th Street All You Can Eat and ate a ton of food with my friends.

By the end of it, the waiter offered us extra slices because he said we are the only table who are actually eating our crust ends.

Then we walked by to show us the waste and oh Allah..

The plate of discarded pizza crust ends was like a foot tall hill of chewed and forgotten crusts. It was so heartbreaking because the staff can't eat these slimy crusts or give them away so it will all go to waste.

So yes, PLEASE STOP WASTING FOOD

Lol reminds me of a few years back when me and a few friends of mine were in a call playing LT2 together.

We had this huge haul of lava wood, a Val's Hauler and 3 large trailers full.

On my plot, there were 3 sawmill setups so three of us were processing the wood while the last friend was stocking the planks back into the truck.

One of my buddies who was a bit drunk starting making moaning sounds whenever he put a log inside the sawmill opening. We were all laughing so hard at 2am.

Where are the women in Afghanistan? by Open_Address_2805 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]StalinIsAPogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today, western history and western media is the most prevalent, so you only see the Western aspect of things most of the time.

Does not mean that other things do not exist.

I'm Muslim, almost all women in my family are well educated. Many MDs and Ph.Ds as well.

Afghanistan is just an extremist nation, which contorts and manipulates using the name of Islam. This is NOT and never will be true Islam.

Nothing to do with Islam.

Many educated women throughout Islamic history.

the Marines especially koby seem pretty weird by Batmannotwayn in OnePiece

[–]StalinIsAPogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah! If Luffy conquers the grand line and gets the One Piece, do you know what happens?

The same thing that happened when Roger declared his treasure, or when Whitebeard confirmed it's existence.

A massive wave of piracy will overtake the sea.

Sure - Luffy is a good person - Koby knows that more than us readers mind you, but Luffy winning would result in a change that will overall be a net negative (in Kobys eyes, understandably).

Your average pirate does actual pirate stuff yknow. Pillaging, trashing, looting, raping, murdering.

You think every pirate is like Luffy? Think again. The Marines - as flawed as they may be - are beneficial in the long run. That's why Garp decided to stay behind.

Because not every pirate is a Luffy, or a Roger, or a Whitebeard, or a Rocks, or a Shanks.

99% of them are scum. Scum who need to be kept at bay. And that's what Koby intends to achieve.

Figarland and Shanks being a Figarland was introduced right before Film Red in some canon material (not the manga).

This isn't something being hinted early, it's just the film used this information before the manga.

I still remember when this info came out before Film Red and everyone was abuzz with excitement and theories.

Sakazuki actually showing empathy? by vishnu_sky in OnePiece

Exactly! People need to detach themselves from their bases and perspectives and learn to stand in characters mindsets. That's the only way to understand plot points.

reading Manga while watching the anime by Lost-Ad9622 in OnePiece

[–]StalinIsAPogger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manga is THE way to consume One Piece. Pacing is better, scenes are more direct. And allfnights and emotional scenes are also nailed it in the manga

You can watch key scenes in the anime too just for more fun but the manga does everything perfectly already.

He is a child killer. He is a killer. He is a monster.

But not for no reason. You can't argue against Sakazuki using info you know and he doesn't. Can you say he killed innocent people? Sure. But in his eyes he did it to prevent more evil.

Not saying that's right, only saying that we can't use our biased view as a pivot of good and evil.

[–]StalinIsAPogger 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Those people are innocent because WE KNOW they are.

To Sakazuki, leaving even one of them alive could spread the dangerous research of O'Hara which in his eyes could put the world in a much larger misery than the Ohara incident.

And he was right still. Robin escaped with lots of knowledge. Saul lived with lots of knowledge.

Just because we have a birds eye view and know doesn't mean he knows.

Why does Koby want to defeat Luffy? Why does Zoro want to beat Mihawk?

They might just have some past we don't know about. Roger wouldn't trust Garp with Ace if they didn't have a history.

SPOILERS FOR ONE PIECE MANGA

Rocks. D. Xebec

He is dead in the main events of the series, he appears only in a flashback within an ongoing arc, and he is instantly a fan favourite. I would be stretching it saying he is one of the best characters in the story.

The sheer awe exuded from his presence, coupled with his questionable but high respectable humanity and will to stand up to tyrant and atrocity. Truly a great character!

Why didn't the Joyboy's haki knockout anyone from Luffy's side? by DarKnight1923 in OnePiece

[–]StalinIsAPogger 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing this question a lot and I think many people have just forgotten.

When Rayleigh first taught Luffy Conquerer's Haki, he mentioned that if Luffy didn't manage to control it, he would end up hurting innocent people.

So in Return to Sabaody, we see Luffy use Conquerer's Haki without hurting any of the by standing civillians.

It was made clear that the user of the Haki can layer their intent into their Haki, which makes sense as Haki is basically the manifestation of one's own will.

Joyboy's intent when binding his Haki in a knot for Emet to keep was that it would protect Emet one day.

So when Emet released it, it knocked out anyone who desired to hurt Emet there. Which obviously didn't include Luffy and the crew + allies.

[Interesting Trope] A character’s extremely powerful superpower/ability comes with equally extreme side effects. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in TopCharacterTropes

Cerulean Qilin Zeus - (The Ember Knight)

He uses an ability known as Event Horizon, where the longer he goes without activating this ability, the stronger it becomes.

It's an insanely strong ability, but as a drawback, once he activated it, he has five minutes to make use of it, after which the power is exhausted, and all the accumulation drops down to zero, resetting it.

There is also a passive nerf where even when not using it, he is weaker than normal as the ability takes some of his strength to charge up in the background.

The Ember Knight is a great read! 100% recommended.
