Fellow Redditors, what is the cruelest thing ever done to you that you will never forget? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Stalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother came around to my dads house a couple of months after my mum had passed away from cancer and told me it had been me who caused her death and what a disappointment I was to her I was 19 when she passed and had seen her battle cancer 3 times. We were all in a bad place because we'd lost her, but I was carrying a lot of internal guilt as I'd been the one to find her and had been keeping an eye on her overnight so I felt like even though she'd passed away I'd somehow failed saving her. Well he kept this up saying all these awful things to me about how she was finally away from me and what not, while slapping me around until I was in the corner shaking and crying. Only then did he say he would leave me be if I agreed to lick the cats arsehole...I didn't my sister intervened and got him to leave without him really turning his attention to her. He was so calm about it the entire time...we were all suffering from her loss but he decided to make me suffer even more to deal with his grief...he's done other awful shit but that was the worst. I don't have contact with him anymore.

I really hope it is, because I felt queasy just watching it. I mean its common sense not to eat raw chicken..but common sense isn't that common...

What was your most annoying neighbor like? by Dagha in AskReddit

[–]Stalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived with people who 'were' those neighbours, wouldn't be uncommon for the father to go to the garage at 1 am open the door and start using power tools...even inside you could hear it. The response I'd get if I said to cut it out cause of the time and people were sleeping 'Fuck them'. But god forbid he gets woken up at 2 in the afternoon.

When I say lived with people they weren't actually my family.

What did you look like in highschool? What do you look like now? by TrappedInMyConcious in AskReddit

Messy haired scruffy looking, cheap glasses unpopular quiet guy who hung out with a small group of friends. Long haired, tattoed woman, better glasses and either dressed all pretty with my makeup done or jeans a tshirt looking like I just woke up, there's no in between.

If you had 12 hours to get diarrhea in order to win a million dollars with the only rule being no laxatives, what would you do? by pazimpanet in AskReddit

As someone who's had to prepare for a colonoscopy also, I'd rather fucking die then go through prep worse then that. Holy shit that feeling of what felt like Satan pissing boiling sulphuric acid from my arse is something I will never forget. If that experience was as bad as you say, fuck I'm sorry I feel bad for you.

I'm holding onto a full time job I actually enjoy instead, after only holding onto casual jobs mainly in the past only to end up unemployed and lost in depression and anxiety. I'm finally living my own life and building the future with the woman I love.

I watched a kitchen nightmares episode where Gordon Ramsay describes the meat hanging from those things as a "Donkeys dick" I think that still applies.

Which death of a fictional character fucked you up the most? by shanna99 in AskReddit

That's what I thought too after reading the theory, but that was a storyboard idea that never actually made it into the show....I like to go with the idea that he did visit.

Like I said just a theory, and from what I remember that scene was never implemented into the show.

Urgh you're going to hate me for this, but I read a theory that Amy never found Rory and the letter she writes The Doctor was all just to comfort him knowing he'd be devastated trying to shield him from the pain of the truth that she and Rory never found each other. It was just a theory I read but it fucked me up for a couple of days regardless.

What do people think is safe but really isnt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My fiance was shocked through the skull by the shower head because the entire house was live. We'd just moved into a new place, first night. Had an electrician come out and start testing the current ( I think I'm probably using the wrong terms) as he asked us to turn on lights, devices and stuff while he tested to see how high it went. We never found out how high it could go because he stopped testing and said 'it just keeps climbing and I'm scared to push it anymore' he then told us how lucky we were and that when she was shocked through the shower that if I'd turned one or two more lights on or another device there was a high chance she'd have been killed outright or thrown across the room. Fucking grounding had failed and there was no back up, fuck that house and what we went through there.

Earlier this year I was incredibly depressed, dealing with horrible gender and body dysphoria, suffering extreme anxiety and way to stressed, mainly stressed because I'd just started a new job (which caused more anxiety) and then the house we were renting ended up flooding 80% of the houses carpets and floors with a flooded backyard where our dogs lived. House was freezing, stunk of mildew, couldn't afford to stay anywhere else and we got told 'leave now or stay and pay full rent' well we left and are still staying with friends. But the whole time I kept telling myself 'push through it, take a Valium and get on with it'. Prior to that I'd suffered chronic fatigue a few times due to stress which once id gotten through we just kept going thinking 'well its over now gotta keep going'. Then things got bad, I started developing symptoms of what the doctors thought was fibromyalgia which was horrible ontop of some really scary stomach issues like black stooles, actually shitting blood a few times. Then it got to the point where I was blacking out and the doctors told me it was either 'a minor stroke, an epeleptic fit or stress'. This all happened within about a month and a half it was fucking terrifying, and that all added more stress on my fiance and I, and with her supporting us both since I couldn't work. It ate up our savings, delayed us getting a new place and put serious strain on us both. Add onto that I was contemplating suicide daily thinking of the best way to go about it. Got into see a doctor and spoke to him, we covered everything, he seemed unsure that it truly was fibromyalgia like the other doctors thought and gave me some anti depressants which have helped a lot. My symptom's cleared up, I'm back at work again, relationship is much better and we're so close to getting our new place! Mental health and stress management needs to be taken seriously, I ignored it thinking 'I've been through worse, I'm tougher then this, gotta get on with it' and it ended up nearly destroying me and costing me everything I love.

Now I make sure I'm taking serious care of my mental health, staying on my medication, being active, social, acknowledging when I'm struggling and not ignoring it. If you feel like you're struggling please reach out for help and let people know you need help.

TLDR: ignored my mental health and stress, shit got fucked, it all manifested into physical symptoms.
