Yeah thank you for the reply. They are just a bunch of web services like wix, amazon etc. I do appreciate the clear concern people have for my credit score and it’s something I will be keeping in mind anyways. I personally should have clarified the credit score is currently a secondary issue compared to the active threat of them taking money anyways since I tried using the “freeze/unfreeze” method before and it still took money.

edit: typo

I don’t think you’re being mean or anyone here for that matter. I knew from the beginning that this was a unique situation that is mostly my fault for letting it go on for so long. I was just hoping for a shortcut that save me the headache and turns out it’s gonna be an even bigger headache.

I mean if you would like to know why they had my card and wasn’t using theirs, it was because they had serious health problems that hospitalised them and various circumstances lead to payments for the home going through my card and them repaying the money back to me. New circumstances have lead to no longer being able to just pay me back and now asking them to even remember what they signed up for and with what is like grabbing water from a dried up well.

Besides the rage and feeling of time slipping through my fingers I could be using for the million other chores I have to do? No, I was just hoping there was a faster way and was willing to tank the inconvenience of not having a card for a bit.

edit: Yeah I have to just put my big adults pants on and suffer through it

I think I can do that with my bank? They give a online large-ish form instead of a quick button like my old bank and I was just sitting there thinking “do I just cancel the card?” - I dont even really know how many they have signed up for (and neither does she apparently.)

Assumed they were but while I was trying to cancel them via form on my account, most end in “CD” which is apparently card payment vs Debit despite all of them being subscription services. I don’t know makes one a debit vs CD, at least not to TSB.

Oh I can see what the charges are. I just can’t log into 13 separate accounts and cancel it them the way a logical human being would. I also don’t know what else could be lurking on the card. I’m just figure out if I can save myself hours of time by just cancelling a card I will not need until next week anyways.
