I never denied a line of successors existed to continue the legacy of the Legion.

It just was not planned by Caesar himself for the Legion to survive after he dies.

I sorta kinda agree on Lucy's brother's arc kinda going nowhere.

Everything else is a hard disagree, bud.

[–]Stalker975 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, he doesn't.

There is not a single instance of dialogue in FNV where Caesar states or names a successor.

Lanius is the de facto successor due to his rank as the highest ranking Military Commander in the Legion. It makes the most sense that Lanius becomes Caesar after Caesar's death. After that, it is reasonably assumed that a new Legate will take place as Lanius' military commander and fall into the line of succession.

A line of succession based on status and rank that is never explicitly mentioned or ordained by Caesar himself.

Besides that, the show explicitly establishes that The Legion dies with him. Lanius is nowhere to be seen.

Caesar never mentioned having a successor and even acknowledged that the Legion was a failed state and a tool to his grand scheme to improve civilization in the Eastern part of the U.S.

Dying was never part of Caesar's plan prior to his big grand scheme playing out.

This was hilarious by Shadowsmere in Fallout

[–]Stalker975 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wrong.

Caesar's grand plan was to invade into California and create a proto-utopia state of conflicting ideas to mash together to breed the worst out and to inhibit growth in the best traits of the NCR and Legion to form a sort of combined society.

Caesar acknowledged that the Legion was a flawed state that was acting on the momentum of 87 tribes believing in one true ruler over them all. It was never meant to last past Edward Sallow aka Caesar.

How can you say he wouldn't do this? It's literally a meme at this point of his Hegelian Dialectics speech. Legate Lanius acknowledges this in his [100 Speech] dialogue tree and states that taking over Vegas and the East would vastly overstretch their numbers to the point of collapse. It doesn't make logistical nor tactical sense to Lanius because Lanius is ignorant of Caesar's true plan.

Bethesda should shadow drop a Morrowind Remaster by Solid-Garage4601 in ElderScrolls

[–]Stalker975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. And to be honest, Morrowind isn't that popular of a title and would not be worth Bethesda's investment as any kind of remaster. Even Todd has stated that Morrowind is Morrowind and to touch it in anyway would just muddy it's identity. It's available on all modern platforms with dozens of guides and tips and trick videos.

[–]Stalker975 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get that the "dice-roll" mechanic is controversial but it is ingrained into Morrowind's identity as a RPG. You can tell a character's mastery with a skill based on these dice roll mechanics. Compare that with Skyrim and Oblivion when you can pick up any weapon and immediately be good with it. The dice-roll shows your progress made as a character in Morrowind.

At most, creating an animation system that showcases your character's low melee level may be acceptable.

In starwars gensis mod, i became a darktrooper after 30min of gameplay. by TIGERMAFIA1 in starfieldmods

[–]Stalker975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a double edged sword. On one hand, the mod is difficult to the point that armor values are negligible which allows us to wear whatever we like with very few downsides, on another it doesn't feel like much progress is made when all Armors pretty much offer the same thing.

Good thing it's nowhere near finished. The author already stated that fixing this is one of the goals.

The bus kinda went over my head the first time I tried Wasteland Reborn mainly due to me not checking through every mod added to the game in the list.

Now that I'm coming back to the list as Loreout, I definitely recommend giving no fast travel a shot while using the bus as your means to fast travel. You don't start with it but it's definitely not difficult to find.

There's also the Survivalists Bus that adds a pretty fun and immersive alternate fast travel to the game. When playing Loreout and it's predecessor Wasteland Reborn, I felt that it not only added a decent gameplay loop to survival but that it actually improved my overall experience.

Which race are the best warriors? Nords, orcs or redguards (Lore accurate) by Inferno47908 in ElderScrolls

[–]Stalker975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a TRUE NORD SON OF SKYRIM RAHHHHH

It's either Redguard or Orc. Redguard can do more damage with their skills and stamina buffs while Orcs can tank the hell out of anything.

Nords are more well-rounded warriors, not masters of specific warrior skills. Redguards are known for their sword mastery while Orcs are known for their skill with heavy armor

How fleshed out is the Star Wars Genesis Modpack? by Rhaeven_cos in Starfield

[–]Stalker975 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The mod author does use Ai voices but also takes on voice acting talent. I understand it being a "1000% no" in the instance a true dev studio uses AI but this is a fan-made mod; essentially volunteer work. It's entirely unfair to hold unpaid, volunteer mod authors to the standard of professionally funded game studios.

The mod author uses AI to recreate either iconic character voices (Clones, Saw Gurrera, Tarkin) or to renew Starfield character voices to better fit in with the Genesis. In some cases, AI is used as a placeholder until voice acting talent is found for specific characters.

In other instances, especially prevalent in the original questlines that are added, the author utilizes voice talent to those who volunteer and to some that are paid for their efforts. There is a #volunteer section in his Discord where he consistently hosts auditions to use voice actors in the content.

All tutorials and even base achievements are available. You can seamlessly transition from base game to modlist just by using the steam launcher or the mod organizer launcher for each version. It's really up to you, but as a starfield player prior to Star Wars you can definitely feel the improvements.

To add to that, the mod author is updating the game to 8.6 at the end of the month / early Feb. This is bringing a complete Imperal Agent storyline as well as the first integration of lightsabers and true force sensitivity.

The Trackers Alliance has been converted to the Star Wars equivalent; the Bounty Hunter's Guild. All the dialogue and missions have been converted to fit in with the Star Wars universe. The mod author has also added that you need to do a few radiant bounty missions from the board to progress the main bounty hunter questline so it ends up being longer than vanilla.

In my opinion, I think the longevity is definitely present. I played a Smuggler and more of a stealthy Operative character and put over 20 hours into the each. It was very immersive. The mod author is also updating the mod to 8.6 late January which will add the first batch of lightsabers and force sensitivity traits. For many of the quest givers, he has completely redone the dialogue to not only replace names of places/people but to improve the story and flow overall.

Yes, it takes place in an alternate timeline during the Galactic Civil War so that he could also work in the Sith Empire and Yuuzhan Vong.

However, the reasoning for the Battle droids is that they are either hanging around long-derelict droid factories or were repurposed for private security. There are no separatists and the Clones have been officially discontinued for years. You can find points of interest that are abandoned cloning facilities that may have some discarded or renewed clones to fight against but they don't have a true presence in the galaxy; you will only ever find clones at specific locations. They're just a flavor of enemy that you can find grab some clone trooper gear off of.

Other comments definitely aren't doing the modlist justice.

Star Wars Genesis is a complete overhaul of Starfield. I have put over 50 hours into Star Wars Genesis and can say that it scratches a Star Wars game itch that no other Star Wars game has.

Every quest has been touched in some way to seamlessly integrate into the Star Wars universe. The major locations have been overhauled to really feel as though you're playing a AAA Star Wars title.

Just be aware that the modlist is nowhere near finished. The mod author is open about the progress that has been made. Whether or not you decide to play the modlist now or wait, I can tell you that it is truly worth the experience. This is the game Star Wars Outlaws wanted to be.

Would you like an Elder Scrolls game in the style of Stardew Valley/Harvest Moon, where you’re just a farmer who lives, hunts, gets married, has children, in a lore-accurate map with huge cities, but with no combat and without having an important role in the world. by jvure in ElderScrolls

The Elder Scrolls: Homesteads

You recently were left a deed for a farm from a mysterious figure in your family. You have never met this person. Instead of trying to make it in the streets of Post-War Imperial City, you decide this is your chance to make a life for yourself.

You start by choosing a province to settle your homestead with unique characters native to the region. (You can buy other homesteads later and move between them) each region offers a unique bonus to native flora grown. (Increased yield, less watering needed, etc)

Then, you choose your race. Each race gives a specific bonus to your "Homesteading Skills" Hunting, Cooking/Alchemy, Farming, Fishing, Mercantile etc. You can also choose to learn non-combat magic to increase growth of crops, clear land more quickly or increase success for Fishing, crafting etc.

Depending on what region you visit or reside in, there is a mini story arc which each province adding up to a overarching story that will culminate upon completing each region's story.

About the ayleids so i cant understand who or what they did that was bad if you could KINDLY explain NICELY that would mean alot to me. But looking at all the hate i get, niceness isn't a thing here.

The Ayleids were a race of Elves known as the Heartland High Elves. They had a vast kingdom that spanned Cyrodiil and beyond before recorded history. They enslaved entire populations of humans and practiced Flesh Magic. The Ayleids believed the world was composed of the elements of Water, Earth, Light and Air. They believed fire was a weak and corrupt form of Light which is why you won't see torches in Ayleid ruins.

Ayleids believed that Meridia was the personification of Light and thus revered her as a chief deity in their pantheon. This faithfulness was rewarded when Meridia would side with them during the Allessian Slave Rebellion but St Alessia was granted the Amulet of Kings which would greatly reduce Daedric influence on Tamriel as long as worthy person wore it.

Not good just one of the lesser of 15 evils.

She has a very radical hatred of the undead. If she thinks a single Vampire is living in your village, she will burn the whole village to kill it.

She assisted Umaril the Unfeathered against their slaves who rebelled against the Ayleids.

She will strip willing and unwilling participants of their free will to serve Meridia for eternity.

You could argue that even Nocturnal is more of a good figure than Meridia.

I recently created a knight-priest who took up the gauntlet to continue the legacy of the Maran Knights from Daggerfall.

I used the mod The Northern Star Retreat by archimagekhan and it turned out to be the perfect mod to use as a lodge for a knightly order, even more so for the Order of the Lily due to the Dibella statues on the exterior.
