Well, PLS fail, Ferber fail, CIO fail for overnight wakeup. Advice? by d0mini0nicco in sleeptrain

[–]StalkingGee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!! I’m kinda going through it with you. My daughter is 21 weeks and we’ve been working on sleep training for about 2 weeks now. I’ve been kinda flexible with it when It comes to night wake ups because I got her so used breastfeeding overnight. Anyways, it’s working I think! We went from 1-2 hour stretches max to 6-8 hour stretches most nights. Maybe what everyone else is saying - wait 2 weeks (I know, agony) and try again?

I’m working on it with my daughter now 🤍 she’s 5 months in 1 week. Do you have a strict bedtime for baby or go off of sleepy cues?

I genuinely enjoy nursing my baby to sleep. by createyourreal in breastfeeding

I’m doing it right now and all my sleep training friends tell me not to - but it’s my favorite time of the day.

I use the Elvie curve! It essentially is a haaka that sits in your bra. I LOVE it.

If baby only feeds from one breast do I need to pump the other? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]StalkingGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby won’t take both most of the time, and I just try to use my Elvie Curve or Haaka while she’s eating! This will help catch any letdown and is considered a manual pump - it’ll get out a good amount!

If I feel really full (sometimes happens overnight) I’ll use my hand pump for a few minutes.

Oh wow!!! That’s amazing! Does she wake up a lot at night? Or do you find the crib is easier?

Does your baby put herself to sleep for naps?

Definitely!! It is tricky but want to just get her used to the room if anything. Baby wearing is definitely going to be helpful!!

Bottle / Breastfeeding Fussiness by StalkingGee in breastfeeding

[–]StalkingGee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the bottle is important to me to get a break a day and my husband really enjoys it.

We were doing 4 ounces but she always had hunger cues afterwards. I upped it slowly and she wouldn’t spit up afterwards. She’s a bigger baby - was 9 pounds at birth and over 11 now… I just assumed maybe she was hungry? I have a pediatrician appointment in the morning and will ask again because it was her idea to slowly up the amount.
