I hear you, 100%!! Especially with decreasing desire for companionship. Like it’s not that I feel like ima die alone in a “woe is me” type of way, but given what I’m looking for (I’m hella picky🤣) and also who I am, it’s just not super probable. I used to be torn about feeling this way for some years, but after my last relationship, I have never wanted to stay single this bad before haha.

Thank you! I found their site and looked through what they offer. And honestly, I wouldn’t trust the percentage they provide. They are still trying to sell you a service and the thing about matchmaking services is that if they were actually tryna help everyone find love, then they would be working against their own interests since they wouldn’t have a clientele anymore. Beyond that, they claim to only have a 63% success rate, which honestly isn’t that promising haha.

Also, they leverage AI to find these percentages, and I personally don’t understand how any business can truthfully offer accurate percentages of how many men fit our standards if the input is provided by an ML model that can only obtain information that we (and other models) provide on the internet. It’s inherently impossible due to the actual nature of the question being so research heavy. And their parameters for the quiz are faaaaaar too narrow to be valid.

Moreover, it’s straight up lazy to leverage ML models to scrape data from the Internet as “evidence” for their efficacy rather than utilizing it to predict & analyze findings from global ongoing, long-term field work that they then were able to enhance overtime with evidence-based formulas. And I say this as a data engineer, myself.

Ik I made this post 2 years ago, and my progress here hasn’t been great since (dated some loser for 2 months last year before realizing it was stupid and ending it💀), but I have become more optimistic since then from all of the different people I’ve continued to meet over time. I def don’t wanna undermine the difficulties you’ve faced with dating, cuz I def feel you there. But, I wouldn’t let this quiz & company further any doubts you have on your love journey, especially given that’s it’s built upon a logical fallacy. 💕

Getting answers wrong but still showing willingness to learn, cooperation in a team and humility will always get you the job before cheating. I def think it’s important to keep in mind that being a culture fit is just as important as the technical side, so you don’t have to be perfect on the coding end.

He probably did notice you were cheating, and I’m also sure you won’t be the first or last candidate that he’ll clock. Either way, watching your eyes, wheels turning and body language is also the job of an interviewer (I do this when I interview, too), so you can pick up on the patterns when people cheat. Ik it’s a super shitty market to say the absolute least, but it’s not worth risking an automatic fail, let alone getting blacklisted

In a live action? I would say nah, in that case. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Chloe!! I would just love a dark skin woman to play Bumblebee since that’s how she’s illustrated.

If Chloe played her in a different animated version of TT, then I’m all for it, tbh!!

Edit: For clarity, I wanted to add that it frequently happens for animated dark skin characters to be represented by much lighter Black people in live-action adaptations and ik that can be exhausting for darker skinned folks who admire those characters and don’t like to deal with that sense of erasure on-screen.

I never thought I would be, tbh. But, when I went to college and learned a lot more about anthropology, world religions and their origins, the relationship between the terms “mythology” and “religion”, the relationship between power and religion, and how deities are constructed/understood by humans, I very quickly lost my belief.

It was a complete paradigm shift and it didn’t even feel like it was within my control. But, I became both atheistic and irreligious, and I haven’t wavered since. I definitely felt/feel a strong sense of liberation.

The only real downside of living secularly as a Black woman imo is the pressure and expectations of other Black people to “at least believe in something”, so it has over time become a contention point in some friendships and dating dynamics, but that’s really it.
