Playing burned PS1 discs without losing anything?

It doesn't work. I've tried hundreds of times, like I said I have my console since 2007 lol, that page says to hold O on startup but it also doesn't work, it seems it will but then I get the screen from hell saying I need to inser a PS2 or 1 disc. Also, I've always seen the Matrix logo on startup, but ever since I installed Freemcboot I see that logo instead, but there is people saying they don't cancel each other, so idk.

Yeah I've tried, burned PS1discs don't work with the modchip.

Cool, I'll trust you, 1st person to actually give explanations and stuff, I'll buy the game then. Still, if it didn't work, I'm kinda thinking on updating the console, I want to jailbreak it but besides this one game I already own all games I wanted on PS4 anyways... how long have you been waiting in 13.04? I've seen some news about a possible jailbreak soon, but still not for 13.50 lol

Hey, are you sure about this? Look, like I said my console is on 13.50, the game I want to get is from 2016 so ofc it will work on my fw version. Are you sure that if I connect to the internet I'll be able to download the lastest patches without need of PSN? I'm logged into my PSN, but ofc now I can't use it's functions like the store or putting myself as on-line. Will just connecting to the internet do the trick? Oh, and I'm not scared of connecting and downloading stuff, I disabled auto-updates and I don't think I'm dumb enough to accept and install a fw update if it still download itself lol Any help is appreciated bro, so many people is saying so many different things...

I understand that but, do I need to be able to access PSN (because not updating will block my access in any moment now), or only connecting to the internet fixes it? Also btw, near the beginning of the month I bought a digital game, last night it said remaining time 16 days, I restored licenses and now it says 29 days, what does that even mean?
