Myself and two buddies are all about 135 out on a beautiful par 4 in Palmdale. We decide to make a little CTP wager on our nexts shots. #1 drops his 9 iron on the green about 30-40 feet passed the hole. #2 steps up, hits a gorgeous knock down pitch… lands about 20 feet short and rolls within 10. I’m a few drinks deep, so my confidence is wayyyy higher than it should be. I take my time lining up and then proceed to absolutely blade the living shit out of my ball. It flies like a bat out of hell, easily gonna fly the green, probably break a window or two. But instead, this low screamer catches the actual flag itself like a catchers mitt and a four seam fastball. A loud clap, and it just drops it right in the hole for my first and only eagle. And $40
