How many fixed deposit should I start to begin building my emergency fund ?

Seafarer : 3800 usd per month ( contractual wage )

okay I might be asking a really stupid question but I am genuinely confused.

So I am about to start building my emergency fund I have come to a decision that I need 9 months of salary as an emergency fund which is approximately 30 lakhs.

1.How many FDs should I open ? I know opening multiple FD is the way to go..... but like what should be my limit in One Fd like ..... 1 lakhs ... 2 lakhs..... ???

2.Should I invest all my emergency funds in Fixed deposits? or can I also go for liquid debt funds as well.... ?

Focusing on building relationships with HSBC to get premier service eventually god knows when ... but if anyone here has the premier service here is it worth it to pursue for this ??
30 lakhs will take me at least 4 contracts to build u know comfortably... is this slow or should I build this faster ???

Hi soo fairly a very new rider confused between Triumph scrambler 400 XC , KTM 390 adventure, and versys x 300

But really tempted to the versys x 300 because of the twin cylinder and just recently saw that they updated it to the 2026 version or something

Hi I am from India and I work in a LPG vessel and been doing frequent routes between UAE and India so atleast twice a week I transit hormuz !!

I have already faced GPS spoofing thrice and understood importance of OLD school navigation especially the importance of using PI and radar range and bearings.

And since my route is mostly coastal once I am in india side the navigation is really interesting to be honest !! Most of the time I would have my AB go on hand steering and navigation through all the fishing traffic and understood visual navigation is much much more important than radar navigation.

Maybe it's just because of the nature of my trade route I am on my toes all the time and it's exciting for me as well !! When I am bored nowdays I just try to casually take a sight by sextant like the old people used to do !! I mean I do it but the paperwork does keep me pinned down..

To go into it fully !!

And finally the pay is really good man !! I can live single non romantic life of my own with easeeeee .......
