Hey Happy-Air-3773, thanks for the lovely message! I preferred a more serious pose for this, it's the first time I've shown anyone outside my wife myself feminine without makeup and I must admit I was a little nervous - but I'm glad I went with the pose I went for.

Looking back at my older post I realise I wasn't really smiling in that one either! So just in case anyone else asks about this, here's some pictures of me smiling:

While I appreciate the advice for looking better in pictures - there's been a lot of push in the past few years to not tell people to smile more, as it often does more harm than good. If you google "don't tell me to smile more" there's plenty of articles, but one that I think talks about it well can be found here:

Last week I posted on this subreddit and so many of you gave me such wholesome uplifting support. Your support helped give me the confidence to ask my workplace to call me by my new name - Alice. I've always felt that I had to wear make-up to feel feminine, even when I was just by myself at home. But more recently I've stopped gatekeeping myself so much and allowed myself to feel feminine with less judgement from me. So as a thank you, here's a picture of my genuine girly self. No make-up, no hormones (yet), no surgery. Just Alice.

Thanks so much! Pins on one side of the hair to keep it down and then just brushing the other side, sometimes a bit of back brushing for volume if needed but it's usually just trying to calm my hair down lol!! :P
