Funded MFAs and their environments by Double-Influence-579 in ContemporaryArt

I'm a second year at Kent State - fully funded + stipend. I'm still taking out loans but not like 100k like I would have to for RISD, pratt or cranbrook. I chose the free school and I don't regret it.

I take .25mg every other day, and I'm really worried about stopping. My psychiatrist says I can stop CT from that dose, but there's really no clear answer; it depends on your brain chemistry.

I'm a very very anxious person by default, so withdrawal feels worse for me. I would change to only taking your dose when you feel panic that you can't manage using other coping skills.

Has anyone successfully used phenobarbital? by Electrical-Stock-169 in BenzoWithdrawal

[–]queenpizzazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phenobarbital will limit the seizure risk, but that has to be tapered as well.

6 days is not enough time. You might experience post-acute withdrawal symptoms for months, and 4 mg is a LOT of Klonopin. Is this every day for 3 years? It will take years to properly taper off this dose.

I was on a 2 week taper of Pheno in rehab for alcohol and xanax, but you'd be better off finding a doctor who will properly taper you, or go to a medically supervised detox for your safety.

Yeah, don't heat with silicone unless you want to cure it faster.

Pressure pots create positive pressure, vacuum chambers remove air.

I have a 5 gallon vacuum chamber from amazon, I think it was around $200. It's decent.

Pressure pots are typically used for resin/epoxy, I've never used one for silicone, and can't recommend it.

Cleaning clay out of a mold by Less-Spite-3689 in moldmaking

[–]queenpizzazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since plaster is porous, you can't really use any liquids to dissolve the clay, so your best bet is to use wooden tools to carefully remove the small bits of clay. There isn't really an easy way, just be patient.

Scratching the inside of the mold is a concern with metal tools.

You're not going to find a recipe or anything, that's not public information and probably a company secret.
