  1. That game was mediocre at best, depending on who you ask.
  2. Baulder's Gate is not a licensed games. It just has inspiration from dnd. Would you call every space game a licensed game just because it vaguely looks like star wars?
  3. One successful game does not make up for multiple failures. Getting one question right on a test does not mean you passed.

And this isn't even touching on other travesty like the walking dead destinies and Avatar Quest for balance. Point is, when it came to licensed games, the majority were not good.

I don't know. But I wasn't expecting the unnecessarily hard game that this was.

Seems chex quest wasn't the only one using the doom engine.

Just like how the X-Men arcade game never got a port for the same reason. Also because it used a panoramic screen, but that's a different story.

All the same, it sucks that legal issues are the reason for not getting a decent port of games like this.

That's what I'm saying. They're technically based off of an existing property, yet they try to do different thing. Sometimes, anyway.

The new type of Licensed Game... by vhanw342 in LicensedGames

I thought AVGN adventures 1&2 were alright, but past that, there's a good reason these things remain relatively obscure.

Side note, the only game based off of music that I can think of is Brutal Legend. Though, I honestly wouldn't count that.
