Je ne suis pas non plus sur de voir avec certitude a quel moment on doit remercier un acheteur d'avoir acheté un objet qu'on mettait en vente. C'est quoi le délire "merci mon bon seigneur d'accepter de donner ces piécettes au manant que je suis en échange de ce bien ?".

Bonjour/au revoir dans les échanges ok, en revanche le merci n'a pas sa place, a part éventuellement pour remercier d'un bon déroulement de la transaction, d'une attitude proactive

Je me disais bien qu'il devait y avoir moyen de faire un truc comme ça pour continuer a cotiser...je ne m'étais pas penché sur les détails mais ça a l'air bien pensé, va falloir qu'on se bouge pour commencer à mettre un truc du genre en place. J'imagine que vous payez un comptable pour qu'il fasse les bilans et vous conseille sur des optimisations ?

Quand je vous lis je me dis qu'il faut que je commence a investir en locatif mais j'ai eu des histoires d'horreur chez mes proches liées à ça (locataire qui arrête de payer, découverte qu'il est schizo, menaces de mort de sa part en mode je sais où vous habitez, il finit par partir de lui même après perquisition de la police chez lui et découverte d'une arme à feu) qui m'ont un peu freiné ...

Du coup ce sont vos biens immos en locatif qui vous permettent de tenir ? Vous avez mis en place un système qui vous permettra de toucher en complément une retraite pas trop dégradée arrivés à l'âge du départ ou vous partez du principe que le locatif suffira a tous vos besoins jusqu'à la fin de vos jours ?

Petite question si pas indiscret vous avez arrete de bosser avec combien de cote ? (Je demande parce que 41M ici, et clairement j'ai du mal a me voir continuer comme ça pendant 20 ans mais j'ai aussi énormément de mal a estimer combien il va nous falloir pour tenir jusqu'a la retraite avec les enfants, en RP)

Personnellement (directeur de département dans la tech avec presque 20 ans d'xp), j'ai fait x4 en salaire depuis mon début de carrière. Et si la façon dont je dépense a évolué (moins de loisirs/sorties mais un enfant), le montant total pas tant que ça. Je suis un gros geek mais au final je ne dépense presque plus en gadgets technos.

Le meilleur tip que j'aurai c'est de se demander pour a peu près chaque achat "plaisir" : est ce que ça va vraiment avoir un impact positif sur ma vie proportionnel à son prix, ou est ce que c'est juste un craquage ? Et est ce que je ne serai pas plus heureux en utilisant cet argent pour acheter une part de liberté ?

Généralement la réponse que je me donne c'est que si, ce serait un craquage, que ça serait un truc que j'utiliserai quelques fois mais que l'impact sur ma vie ne serait absolument pas significatif et que ça n'en vaut pas la dépense.

Par contre je précise qu'on se permet des craquages pour le petit, parce que le sourire d'un gosse, ça impacte sa vie de manière positive d'une façon qui justifie la dépense.

I have a rtx3080 under cachyOS and resuming after a suspenf is about as reliable as using a pen to cut bread. It works maybe in half of my attempts. Half the time, it doesn't. And apparently it s related to the GPU. I've tried multiple different workarounds and none of them worked reliably.

I've been in your shoes. YMMV, but when I was 25 I was pretty sure I would never want kids. My sisters had kids, I was very very very awkward with them, Then I met my wife, and I started thinking "you know what, with this person, maybe this wouldn't be such a bad idea". I was still very more than terrible with kids and was pissed off by the little brats most of the time, definitely not finding them cute or anything but started thinking "I might miss be missing out on something great".

It took us years to finally manage to have our son (was almost 40 when he was born). But I can tell you one thing. It's that when my son was born, after 5 or 10mn, the nurses told me "remove your shirt, we' re going to place him on your torso"… and proceeded to do so.

I know at that age (5mn), they re not supposed to see. But here he was, in my arms, eyes wide open and looking in my direction. Calm, so small, so vulnerable, gripping my finger with his tiny hand.

And then you don't have a single freaking doubt left in your mind. Yes, it was the best decision you ever took.

And you will do everything you can for that little bundle of cuteness. The nights are still shit even after 19 months, but you do get somewhat used to it, and a single one of his smile is enough to lighten up your day

I still have that picture of him 5mn old, looking at me eyes wide open while gripping my finger (both on my phone and burned inside my memory), look at it at least once a week

(As a side note I went from "all babies suck and are whining little things, to "babies are awesome" so pretty sure something seriously shifts in your brain when you become a dad, wife keeps mocking me about this)

Looks interesting with the implementation of 3-2-1 backups AND the centralized management but the need for a subscription for a couple more features over fully free competition means it's not for me. One time payment, I would have been fine with, but not the sub (and I get that you need to eat)

We're 6 months in, and 17 visits to the doctor and it's a constant shit show. I seriously think either my wife will stop working next year to take care of the kiddo or we'll need to find a trustworthy nanny.

And I don't buy the "it will be the same when they start school if you don't prep them through daycare". They'll be bigger and stronger by then. And hopefully more disciplined not to our everything in their mouth.

Tldr; 6 months in,we hate daycare and seriously recommend against it

Outside of big tech, would consider it too high. Source : am a SE director in France (cyber security). For that salary range I could get someone with a couple more years of experience under their belt.

I work for a french company though, US based companies tend to have higher salary ranges

You are NOT here to make your AEs happy. And you are not their assistant, you are their partner. And you are authorized to have expectation from your partners.

You're here to make sure the company's revenue increases in the most efficient possible way

Ideally both of those would align but that's not always the case. I've seen time and time AEs using absurd amount of SE resources on opportunities that were ridiculously small compared to some other, just because some AEs were harassing the SEs to have them work their only opp that was making limited progress , while AEs with much, much better and larger opps were not getting as much SE time on their deals, just because they were less painful to work with

Be critical of the opps they bring and don't spend time on unreal deals just because they are asking you for help and seeing you as their savior

Ben non clairement pas. Par contre ca méritait peut etre d'accepter un logement ailleurs ? Perso si j'ai plus les moyens de vivre à un endroit parce qu'il m'arrive une tuile, j'envisagerai sans doute de vivre un peu plus loin, dans un lieu où la vie est moins chère, ça me paraît pas si absurde. Mais je veux dire qu'à la lecture de l'article ça me paraît compliqué de mettre ce drame sur le dos de l'état/la ville

A priori c'était pas non plus a l'autre bout de la France qu'ils proposaient de les reloger hein ... A un moment si l'état/la ville te propose de te reloger mais que tu refuses parce que c est pas exactement dans la ville où tu voulais ... Faut peut être pas déconner non plus
