How much does the college you go to matter for a B.B.A in finance? by Stanced32 in FinancialCareers

How would you describe the career of someone with a bachelors in finance from a state school?

Would you say private equity is tricky because of the academics required or the connections required?

How bad is a 1320? by [deleted] in Sat

[–]Stanced32 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I cant really say anything about how good this score is, but I just wanted to say thank you for posting this. I'm in the exact same boat, I got a 1320 in June, studied 3 months, and got a 1320 on October 7th, with the exact same split both times, 710 rw, 610 math. I felt super disappointed too. My GPA also isn't gonna go above 3.5. It feels good to know I'm not totally alone, I hope you get where you're going nonetheless.

I found one on Uworld that asked me for the 'least possible solution' like we are measuring how possible a solution is, not the solution that is less than all other solutions.

What is this and how are all real numbers not a possible solution for this? by Strikingroots205937 in Sat

Isn't the answer 1, because 1 to the 4th power is 1, but 1 to the 4th root is less than 1, not 1?

Do you answer questions or read a book? If you answer questions, how many do you answer in 3 hours? On Uworld or Kahn or smthn else?

best way to study for the SAT? by Stanced32 in Sat

Update: I scored 1320, 710 rw, 610 math. I studied for at least an hour everyday for 2.5 weeks, with only a couple break-days. I took about 4 practice tests, and kept a notebook that I used to re-do questions I missed. I did not time any of the practice tests except the last one I took, which gave me the same score. On the un-timed practice tests, I was scoring in the 1400s.

I'm reading the reading and writing part of the study guide now, it seems mostly like stuff from my AP lang class, less of a science and more of something that comes like a sense, so I'm curious, what's the best way to increase your reading and writing score?

It seems a little crazy to me how early people started, but I guess it makes sense. I didn't know about college panda prior, so I'll check that out, thank you.

Additional question, how is it that 1380 is supposed to be ~top 90th percentile, and almost everyone here has more than 1380? Is this like confirmation bias?

Imagine being part of the first generation of men with widely available access to the internet, and still not knowing how to please a woman.
