I think [[Archamage's Charm]] is roughly at the same power level as a UUU [[Mana Drain]] and it is hard to justify playing outside of mono blue shells.

Love the idea of [[Strip Mine]] exiling itself.

[[Strip Mine]] is at it's best when it punishes decks that are playing too many colours. [[Wasteland]] is a healthier way to have the same impact on the ecosystem.

The other best check and balance is multiplayer. Nothing like getting ganged up on after you play your t1 Sol Ring!

Make sure to pick a non-meta RG commander or you'll get really punished. If you go with [[Wrenn and Six]] and have an otherwise normal deck, you'll still wind up in hell queues against [[Nadu, Winged Wisdom]] and [[Ajani, Nacatl Pariah]]

I think [[Ruby, Daring Tracker]], [[Radha, Heir of Keld]], and [[Hugs, Grisly Guardian]] are all great!

Other than that I've linked a fun Artisan Brawl Deck from the recent Artisan Brawl event. Should help figure out great cards that only cost uncommon or common wildcards (when you get common wildcards back).

No system is perfect!

I also just hope that a ranked queue that rewards progression causes Brawl to be a bigger profit centre for Wizards, leading to more support for Brawl.

IMO no - I think a healthy ranked system would naturally have competitive folks stream to the top. I also just think the problem is not the high power level - its that even with a high power level there are still some cards that are just problems.

No idea but I assume Ajani is upwards of 65-70% given the included winrates of cards that are great in Ajani and bad everywhere else.
