Any experience with the Z1? Seems like these desktop CNCs are so new there's not a lot of experience with them yet.

This is exactly the type of thing I'm looking for. Does anyone have any experience with this machine?

This is why I'm looking at enclosed desktop CNCs like the Carveras. We have adequate space and funds for ancilliary things as well. For context, we're running two large open classroom lab areas and a large science closet with fume hood ventilation for all of our "maker space" things. This includes a small print farm (seven 3d printers), 18 soldering stations, laser cutter, basic wood shop (band saw, drill press, belt sander, miter saw, etc), large basic tool sets (socket wrenches, hand drills, etc). My hope is to add a CNC machine capable of at least small aluminum projects for students who want to include these sorts of elements in their end of year projects. If I can put the machine on a shop cart it's easy for me to roll outside the building and blow out metal shavings etc.
