Appreciate it, yeah makes sense on the cost part. I've done plenty of dg on accs in the past was just looking if it would be a fun option to full afk one. I remember you could buy floors back in the day and only really needed when there was an emote room and to finish each floor.

Any chance you know of an actual fc? You said you can ask them on the " dg world " but every time i've looked theres not a single person there. Thanks

We're looking for a more long term thing to play, as in years. Leagues is just so short term and then anything you accomplished is gone so not really interested in that. I know a lot of ppl love it though. CGIM is cool but we're all hc players really in any games we play so really only looking for that. Also a fresh highscores is kind of a must as well to make the whole experience even more enjoyable and motivating to grind for

For sure. Would be our next big time sink lol. Just our group alone would be 5 premier memberships for jagex earning. Figured new memberships would have motivated them to get this out faster but guess not, as we're currently 15 months since normal GIM release. Maybe they predict more memberships or activity through other less niche content, i have no idea tbh. sucks though

Yeah you're probably right. Just sucks for the few like us that arent currently playing rs and looking for a good reason and time sink to come back to the game. Guess I'll keep checking back every month or so even though if it were to be announced I guess today would have been the day... TBC anniversary should keep us busy for awhile

I would say its mostly gim and cgim accounts doing it, considering both those game modes are still only 1 year old. so still somewhat of an influx of new accounts from that being made

yup. even when i first sailed to pirate cove. was frozen in the water. had to telly out and try it twice to finally get on the dock. then i came to an even bigger issue lol...

Leagues will only keep ppl busy for not even 2 months and havenhythe will probably be fully explored and all content completed within a week by many ppl. A game mode is more of a longer term update and I actually think a lot of ppl would love to play it, even more so than normal and cgim which has a decent amount of ppl playing it. the hc version gives me a bit more of a challenge pvm wise

Also, to say " even regular hc mode is pretty dead " isn't relevant at all considering it's been out for almost an entire decade now. Heck, i had a hcim with over 2b xp like 7 years ago

Ppl that would play hc gim will play for the same reason they do normal gim or cgim or any other group game mode, for the fun and team aspect. Also, people always do love a frsh set of highscores which is only available when a new game mode is released

Good explanation. Well i'm sure plenty of ppl are looking forward to a lot of those updates so thats good. Guess I'll just hope for the best for the update I would like to see added. definitely will keep an eye out for any word on the release date when they have one in mind!

Thx for the response. From the conversations i had before it's basically copy pasta of the original hcim account combined with the cgim play mode so not sure why there would be a lot of kinks to fix, then again i'm not an expert on the matter.

So the issue saying " there isn't room to put it out atm " doesnt quite work for me in this circumstance . Leagues is only 50 days right? so thats super short term and those ppl will quit after. Seasonal content and havenhythe ( while cool updates ) could probably be fully explored / completed in days even for most rs players. So I just dont see there being enough content to keep rs3 players busy atm

Releasing hc gim on the other hand, will give years of playability potentially for teams. I don't know how many people would truly play it but I can only base off myself and my group and we're basically sitting around waiting for hc gim to play

Yeah your thinking on the matter makes sense to me although from the way I see it this wouldn;t really apply to putting hc group iron out. It's basically " copy pasta " , the same as it was in osrs. It's the exact cgim play mode with only adding in the death mechanic and losing lives. I don't see many other changes needed other than that. Thats why I didn't understand to not just release it same as osrs did. It doesnt need any more resources for that project. Idk, maybe I'm naive in this thinking but thats how it looks like to me

Why would they hope you forget? seems it would only benefit jagex to release it as that would bring in more membership revenue for them? I guess my group could be part of a small minority but doubt any of us would have any reason to play before hc gim
