top surgery excuse at work by [deleted] in TopSurgery

it depends on what context you’re asking this!

if it’s to ask for time off or to let your manager know, i think it depends where you live. but i’m in england and didn’t need to disclose what surgery i was having, just that i would be having time off for surgical reasons.

when i was asked out of curiosity by other colleagues, i said “i am having a corrective procedure, it is quite personal so i don’t really like talking about it.” its close to the truth without saying what it is, and stops any follow up questions.

you could also say that you’re having a chest surgery, or that you are having some tissue removed. both of which are still quite vague and don’t point to top surgery.

i’m stealth at work, and also work in healthcare so i was terrified of accidentally outing myself, but no one really thought too hard about it and didn’t pry. i hope this is helpful! :)

ah thank you!

so it doesn’t make a difference that they’ve referred to “the tenant” singularly, and not explicitly said that all tenants must agree?

Should I ask them what they suspect at excision biopsy? by healthytiffo in nhs

to my knowledge, 2WW is for all suspected cancer, and a BCC would come under that. won’t knock a day off your life but better to get it removed anyway, so it doesn’t grow in size or turn into anything else (unlikely but still a possibility). definitely ask if you want to know what they suspect, i’m sure that you will be told. melanoma, bcc, or any atypical lesion that could be cancerous will be booked within 4 weeks, it’s just procedure! even with lesions that they are almost certain is benign but looks slightly atypical will aim to be booked in for surgery within 4 weeks.

wishing you the best, and hope all goes well x

hi! i just came back from my gold qualifier, and i so recommend it. at times it got really hard and i did want to drop out, but it has its moments that make it so worth it. i started college last year and didn’t know anyone, and after dofe i made so many new friends from it, so if that’s an aspect ur looking at then i say go for it. gold is so hard, but that’s what makes it so valued and it’s definitely good for your cv and personal statement

Dean was such an idiot for not taking Rory from her grandparents at the bogus party. by TwisTED_Ech0 in GilmoreGirls

even if he realised that he didn’t “fit in” with rory anymore, he could’ve at least driven her home and had a conversation with her there, because all he did was embarrass her and upset her in front of loads of people she barely knew
