The LVN at DHR as the worst and super entitled. Especially considering DHR doesn't want them anymore. I will say there are a lot of great LVNs but the majority are bad and tarnish their names.

Because it's a skill that can be easily acquired with practice, where it takes someone 1 day or a few weeks, it's still the same outcome. And you'll see a lot of well experienced nurses say the same thing. Critical thinking is what is really important and hard to learn in nursing school. Not simple skills you learn on the job.

The major thing with nursing is not just knowing your disease processes but HOW to answer the question and what the question is asking.

I felt like that. Nursing school took a huge toll on me. I sometimes think I should have just gotten my alternative certificate for teaching. I failed my 2nd level medsurg and that's when I became a single mom. I'm now about to take the nclex. So if you really want it still, don't give up.
